Overview
The family-owned Stafafell Cottages is located on a sheep farm in the countryside, 30 km from Höfn village. Each cottage has well-equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with shower. A dining area, seating area and TV feature in all accommodation options. Each cottage has a private terrace with mountain and sea views. Kitchen facilities include a stove, microwave and fridge. Grocery stores are found in central Höfn. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon is 1.5 hours’ drive from Cottages Stafafell Popular activities in the area include hiking, fishing and bird watching.

“Compared to the prices in the area it was ok, but wouldn’t stay again. However the northern lights were quite visible be”
The location seems remote, however there are houses nearby so it’s not like you are alone 100% if you are looking into this for that reason. It was cozy, the furniture even though old, were comfortable. The northern lights were visible.

“Vacation Iceland.”
Quiet, not too far from main road. Good place for watching Northern Light and star glazing. Kitchen quite well equipped and good for cooking simple cooking. Sufficient space for 4 person. Many heating panels in the house, so its not cold at night.

Very quiet location, a good place for star glazing. Able to cook, but the kitchen utensils and appliances are not so clean. Bed is small, rooms, living hall and shower room has good heating. A unique experience where you stay in the middle of a big plain with mountains behind you.
