The place is one of the houses you see in the movies. If you’re looking for a “unique” experience, this is the place to be. But if you’re looking for a decent accommodation, look for another place.

Super clean sheets and bathrooms! Horses surround the house and there is a gas station + cafe nearby!

The best thing about this accomodation is that it exists. There are not many accomodations in this area, not many in a reasonable price. Basic, but OK.

“Traditional Icelandic Farmhouse”

This was a really special stay as although we didn’t meet the owners of the property, it felt very much like staying in someone’s home! So comfortable and cosy with a communal sitting room and kitchen to enjoy and all of the home comforts. Adal, the housekeeper, was very friendly and welcoming too. The breakfast items were a nice touch and the communal bathrooms were kept lovely and clean. We had such a nice time feeding the ponies on the farm and the walk to the nearby waterfalls is a must!

A súper cozy and beautiful house to stay in and live the rural life with the horses and waterfalls. It was all great, and met really interesting people. Thank you for everything!

Frinedly guesthouse with two floors, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The building is being renovated and is quite old-fashioned in terms of equipment. However, you will find here everything you need and the owner is very nice and he provides very good and even funny instructions for guests.

Really genuine and friendly, very efficient use of resources and space, and therefore good value. Enjoyed chatting to hosts, both Wilhelm and Adal. Went for a wander in the snow to the frozen waterfalls, great to be out in the middle of nowhere after doing touristy bits. thank you!!

The host was very kind, and the house was well organized. There were not too many guests, which made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. They also provided some basic breakfast items such as coffee, milk, tea, fruit, and cereals, which we really appreciated. We truly enjoyed staying there.

If perfectly matched my expectations. For traveling from here to north part of the Iceland it was great. I also appretiate perfect regime in the house and even if it was shared we could rest and sleep well.

Very cozy house with beautiful views. It is well cared for in every detail and has many useful kitchen utilities and cooking essentials, which made our stay very comfortable. The hosts are very attentive and welcoming. There are friendly horses right next to the house, and the surroundings are simply stunning. We had a wonderful stay and would 100% recommend this place.

I absolutelu loved this guest house. The owner is helpfull, straightforward and funny. The house is lovely and warm, the location is nice and quite. The owner took great care in our wellbeing, even very kindly offering to stay another night for free if weather conditions prevented us from reached the next destination <3

We saw the aurora boralis from the window. There were some food ( cornflakes, milk, butter, jam, tea & coffee) for common use. Interesting books and maps from Iceland.
