“A wonderful stay in the Elbe River valley and its surroundings, among magnificent rock formations”
Our stay was really magnificent. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and nicely cool even in hot summer days. There are wonderful, unspoiled views of the Elbe River and the other part of the beautiful, quiet town of Wehlen (Stadt Wehlen) from the terasse. You have just a few minutes walk to the train station and down to the ferry (constantly operating). There is a restaurant nearby and more of them at the other bank of the river (Marktstübchen being our top favourite). When you fill the accommodation form you get the guest card, which allows free use of almost all means of public transport (trains, busses, ferries) within the Saxon Switzerland area, and also gives some discounts. Great location when you’re traveling by public transport. Lovely view of the river. We enjoyed the local swimming pool nearby after hiking.
