The apartment is exactly as pictured: clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly located right by the beach in St Helena Bay. What truly made our stay exceptional was the host. Communication was outstanding from the very first message – quick, friendly, and clear. They answered all our questions, provided helpful local tips, and were genuinely attentive throughout the booking and stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness and support made everything effortless and enjoyable. A huge thank you to the host for the amazing assistance – it really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location, tastefully decorated and well equipped.

Location was lovely. Around 50m from the beach although it is more a rock beach than a sand beach. The apartment is very modern and has everything you could think of.

“Disappointed Stay”

Unfortunately, our stay at Mirage Beach Apartment was a letdown. Despite the location on the beach, the reasonable rate per night and the description of the property in the ad, we were disappointed with our stay. Here's what went wrong: - Cleanliness: The space was not clean upon arrival. The bathroom was dirty - finding other people's hair is never pleasant and the bathroom blind was very moldy. - Amenities: Very basic household provisions provided. You would have to carry or buy these on your own which is a lot of hassle when you're on holiday e.g matches if you want to use the braai (We did contact our host and she said that she would include this going forward for guests). It's also the small things that add up to our overall experience e.g the hand soap dispenser in the bathroom was filled to a minimum amount. The rooibos tea bags were unsealed and placed uncovered on a saucer. We were expecting a cozy and relaxing stay with some comfort for our 2 night stop in St Helena, but sadly, this apartment fell short. As a traveler, I believe it's essential for hosts to ensure their space is clean and comfortable, even if you are charging a reasonable price. Suggestions for improvement: - Deep clean the space regularly including the bathroom blind - Double-check amenities and add a little extra provisions and comforts to make one comfortable even if it means you increasing your rate per night by a small margin. E.g add rugs on either side of the bed especially seeing that there is concrete flooring and it's quite chilly at night, add some paper towel in the kitchen for guests, purchase a tea cannister. - Repair the frame on the sliding bathroom door.

“Quiet, restful, on the beach, comfortable couch and bigger than the pictures!”

The location was right on the beach, it was wonderful for our dog. The couch was so comfortable and having a fire place inside to braai when the weather is good or when it is cold was great. It is quiet and perfect to rest and relax.

“Beautiful apartment and peaceful stay”

The apartment was very comfortable and we enjoyed every second of our stay. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you might need and the bed is very comfortable. You get the most amazing views of the sunset from the stoep and a walk on the beach is just a few meters away. In the westcoast you need an indoor braai and we used it almost every night. It also helped to heat up the apartment as we visited in July with a cold front. St Helena Bay is a really nice town to visit if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
