The location and peace but above all the host and his wife. They were both outstanding with their help and sense of humour. My plane arrived (after a delay) at 1am. Romesh still met me at the front gate of his place and enabled me to stay for additional hours.

The accommodation is a lovely, self-contained suite within the host's beautiful home. It is quite spacious and includes a private bathroom, a functional kitchen, a bedroom, a living area, and a charming tiny garden. It's fully equipped with everything you need: A/C, hot water, TV, washing machine, stove, fridge, and even a drinking water cooler. ​The host's house itself is stunning, filled with interesting interior details. The host is a very refined and intellectual person, a real pleasure to talk to. The location is also great—situated in a very peaceful residential area.

Our hosts were extremely helpful, they WhatsApp messaged me prior yo my arrival with top tips for Sri Lanka, like getting a taxi and things to do. This support continued throughout our stay, organising us a driver to Pinewala Elephant Orphanage and sending us off with a packed lunch. Breakfast was the most beautiful Sri Lankan start to the day followed by coffee and tea and wonderful breakfast table conversations. If you're looking for a local experience, I highly recommend staying with this lovely couple. We'd love to stay again, next time we're in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
