Located within a 5-minute walk from the UNESCO-protected Diocletian's Palace and the charming Riva Promenade, Backpackers Fairytale Hostel offers air-conditioned dormitories with free Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen and a lounge area with computer. There is also a shared terrace and 2 balconies. Free public parking is available by the hostel. A grocery shop and the nearest restaurant are within only 100 metres from the property. The city's central marketplace with a rich offer of fresh fruit and vegetables is right by the Palace. Next to the marketplace there is a bus stop with connections to all other parts of town. The sandy Bačvice Beach and its night clubs are about 1 km away. You can also relax on the lush Marjan Hill, which is about 1.5 km from the Backpackers Fairytale. The hostel can help you organise various kinds of excursions and activities, including rafting, kayaking, horseback riding and visits to national parks.

“Horrible experience Don't go there Drunk workers Not safe Dirty kitchen No respect”
Both male receptionist didn't respect that people wanna to sleep after midnight. Around midnight they were loud, smoked cigarettes, ate in the kitchen next to the dormitory. When I kindly asked, if they could be quiet, because people wanna to sleep, they were rude and even louder then before. It was first time in my life that I arrived in such a horrible place. I don't understand so good reviews of that hostels. Two male receptionists drunk vodka and smoked in the hostel. I didn't feel safe there as a woman and stayed there only because I arrived after 11 p.m. In the morning I left that horrible place. There is no hostel spirit there at all and also the kitchen was dirty. Don't go there, find another place!!!

Very nice family/traveler vibe hostel with nice living room and nice balcony with sea view. Very helpful staff that will in any moment show u what croatian/dalmatian/Split hospitality and charm really is. If u wanna remember a hostel in Split, book this one.

“Largely the expected value for money. I might stay again but undecided.”
Very affordable. Quite close to the station. Spacious lockers for storage. I was only there for one night, but if I’d stayed longer I could have made use of the facilities like fridge, kitchen, washing machine, and lounge room.
