Overview
The Comfort Suites At WestGate Mall recently underwent a complete hotel renovation in 2022, including all rooms and public areas. The hotel is five miles from the University of South Carolina Upstate. Visitors will enjoy being close to a number of local attractions like the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and the Spartanburg Expo Center multipurpose venue. Guest rooms in this all-suite hotel are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, flat-screen televisions, sofa sleepers, voice mail, curved shower rods, hair dryers, work desks and cable television. Keep your electronic devices charged with the recharge device including AC and USB outlets provided in all guest rooms. Connecting rooms can be requested. “Fashion show stay”
The front desk people was amazing and very helpful as we was there for a fashion show during our stay. Cleaning staff was friendly as well.

I don’t like how there was no mention that I needed to be 21+ to check in. I’m a twenty year old traveling alone to visit family and booked this stay a month in advance. And there was no mention that I needed to be 21, when I reached the hotel I was out of luck I had no idea what to do or where to go since i couldn’t check in.

“Pet cost is just wrong”
I said I had a English bulldog when I made my reservation. When I checked in I signed a form saying if anything is wrong w your room I would be charged $250.00. So I figured that was because of the dog. I did not hide her from anyone and when I checked out they asked me if I had a dog. Of course I did I signed the paper when I checked in. They told me that I was not in the right room for a dog and they were charging me $150. Because of it. Really!!! Also if I told them it would have only been 50. Honestly if you went in my room you would have never known a dog was there. Also what more would they have done to our room, if smelled like disinfectant anyway. I am very upset with the whole process.
