The island has a great location close to Male. The staff is very helpful and nice. The house reef is amazing. We saw many colourful fishes, black tip reef sharks, eaglerays, moray eels, turtles and octopuses just a few meters from the shore.

Very clean, spacious rooms and lots of activities to join, even if you don’t scuba dive. Wonderful plants all over the island and well curated. The house reef is one of the best you will find in Maldives and nature is all over you!

We had an amazing stay at Embudu Village in the Maldives and can highly recommend it. The beach bungalow location was perfect—just a few steps away from the ocean, which made the whole experience feel incredibly special and relaxing. The natural, barefoot-friendly atmosphere was something we truly loved; it added to the authentic island vibe and made the stay even more comfortable. The food was consistently great, with plenty of variety and quality. What really stood out, though, was the staff—everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely come back!

“Didn’t want to leave”

Triple WOW. We were not sure about booking a resort, but it was 100% worth it. We did excursions to a local island and another resort, and that only confirmed we made the best choice staying here. We had one night in a water villa — if you can afford it, just do it. This is what Maldives are about. Otherwise why fly 11 hours. You can see so much wildlife even without trying — fishes right from the pier (almost snorkelling without getting into water), flying fox, sand crabs everywhere and even a heron walking around. Best birthday of my life so far. Room was decorated on arrival, staff are so welcoming, and the island is beautiful and very relaxing.

We stayed at Embudu Village as a couple at the end of January. Overall, it is a very decent and honest Maldivian-style resort without unnecessary gloss or pretentious luxury. Pros: compact island, everything is close and logically arranged the island can be walked around in about 30 minutes calm, adult atmosphere, no parties or noise friendly, unobtrusive staff food without gourmet ambitions, but stable and clear: there is always protein, fish, and vegetables good climate at this time of year, the sun is soft and comfortable Internet and connectivity: Wi-Fi is available all over the island and is generally stable on the beach the internet worked better than in the bungalow if you plan to buy a local SIM/eSIM at the airport, it is important to know that from the advertised data package only about 30% is real unrestricted internet, while the remaining ~70% works only for social networks (Instagram, Facebook, etc.

Fantastic snorkelling possible directly from the beach. Excellent staff - friendly and helpful. They are treated well and it shows. Good food. You have an assigned table for meals - a small detail but makes a good difference. No unnecessary frills such as TV and swimming pool.

This was our 9 th visit to Maldives first time in embudu .. snorkelling from the beach is wonderful .. beautiful corals , abundance of fish , turtles , sharks and perfect white sand beaches . Food was very good for this price point . This is a traditional Maldivian resort which is just what we like and Embudu did not disappoint . The resort is older but very well maintained .. staff were lovely we had an issue when we arrived which was very quickly resolved and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay .. will definitely return .

Reef all around the Island with snorkeling possibilities from the beach. Pretty beaches and turquoise waters. Good food. Friendly staff. Perfect speed boat transfer from airport. Crabs, birds, flying foxes…nature all around.

It has been amazing snorkeling with sharks and seeing dolphins! Worthy staying here!

Fantastic house reefs all around the island. We were under water all the time. Really a lot of different fish and other sea animals (turtles, octopus, corals, crabs, sharks...). The island itself is so cute - everywhere nice sand so you can walk barefoot all the time, small with really good shadow almost everywhere so children can go around free as much as they want. You meet a lot of native animals (lizards, parrots, birds, fruit bats, crabs in the middle of the island...). Relaxed and calm atmosfere, simply to enjoy the sea and sun, relax in a shadow in peace, free of hustle and bustle and tourist crowds. The food was absolutely the best 👌, delicious every day, with a wide range of food to choose from.

Rashid and the entire team were warm, welcoming and helpful. The vibe was relaxed but one could see the attention spent on the surroundings and keeping them and the sea, in pristine condition. We'd go back in a flash!
