The Spruce Lodge is located in South Fork, CO, known as the "Basecamp for Adventure." With millions of outdoor activities right outside our front door, the Spruce Lodge provides convenient access to summer and winter activities with Wolf Creek Ski Resort located 19 miles away. The Rio Grande Club and Resort is a "hidden gem" in the area offering a world class golfing experience and is a short, 5 minute drive from The Spruce Lodge.

“Excellent”
Great place to stay. We stopped off here for a night on our way through, and arrived quite late due to traffic and being international visitors, and the staff were so lovely in helping us check into our room. The room was spacious and warm, and had a little goodie basket with snacks. Cannot fault the place, will definitely stay again.

I love the Spruce Lodge for the quaintness, cabin mountain feel. I think I happen to have a bad visit there. When I arrived the heater was broken so they eventually had to move me to another room. But I had a terrible night's sleep as the heater in the room was making noises all night. I never really fell asleep. That was the major drawback. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Its simplicity was its charm...pleasant, clean room with beautiful surroundings! The beds were very comfortable and the vintage style bathtub was great!

“I didn't get great rest here”
The location was convenient. There was ample parking near the room I was assigned. The rooms are large. The linen / towels and room seemed very clean. There is a restaurant / bar on the property that looked pretty good (but not my style - it served mostly BBQ / grilled meat - I'm vegetarian).
