Hostess was very friendly but unobtrusive. Very quaint but typically french feel to the accommodation. Great location- the property is basically the centre of the town. Lovely ambience .

Auberge des Puits is a charming, rural French hotel. I imagine it hasn't changed much in decades, which is part of its appeal. Don't expect modern facilities or a sterilized, corporate-style room, mine was a decent size, spotlessly clean and delightfully rough around the edges. Very good value for money I'd say.

This auberge is right in the middle of the old medieval part of Souillac, it is an old building, full of character. The accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate. The manageress is down-to-earth and efficient but friendly and good for a conversation. The bar has local clientele, the immediate area is full of life, but peaceful at night.

in the centre of the little town, really old character building in a picture postcard traditional square. the concierge was very helpful and accommodating (arranged taxis, store bags etc) Loved the bustle of the café which was packed with locals, always a good sign

Kind owners. Nice breakfast for 7 euros (bread, croissants, butter, coffee, milk, sweets, yogurt, juice, nuts). The room and toilet were clean and the bed was comfortable enough.

A beautiful old characterful building in a beautiful location right in the center of the lovely town of Souillac. It could be updated and modernised but that might lose some of the charme. The town is a gem and after booking in at the hotel we enjoyed a walk around it and a meal. The bed was very comfortable. The location, in a small square with narrow streets, is very atmospheric. We would certainly stay again.

A one night stopover for us. Location was good on a small quiet back street square. We were reminded a little of the cafe Renee from "Allo Allo"! The property has probably not changed any since 1940 which for us gave it a sort of charm.
