Posada la Morena is located on San Juan de la Canal Beach in Soto de la Marina, 7 km from Santander. It offers free Wi-Fi and a terrace overlooking the sea. All rooms at the Posada la Morena have a private bathroom, heating and flat-screen TV. Some rooms feature sea views. Staff at the guesthouse’s front desk can provide information about Soto de la Marina and the surrounding area. The Cantabrian coast is popular for cycling, fishing and diving. Santillana del Mar and the Altamira Caves are 30 km away from the Posada la Morena. Santander, with its historic El Sardinero district, is a 10-minute drive away. For stays up until 15th March 2013, guests will receive discounted entry to Cabárceno Nature Reserve, Fuente Dé Cable Car and the local Maritime Museum.

“Absolutely great - hope to return”
Lovely location and very friendly/helpful staff. Liked the spacious and uncluttered room, with a fantastic view. Great WiFi. Fantastic water pressure in the shower. Very dog friendly and great walks on the doorstep. Local restaurant Peñon was also excellent for dinner - 1 min walk which was great because it was pouring with rain!

Location was the best. Beach almost in fronyard and amazing coastline to photograph waves and big stony islands on coastline. Owner was great, breakfast lady super nice. I really enjoyed. Could stay longer over here.

The hotel has an amazing location - right in a beautiful bay with a great beach just a few steps away. The view from our room was breathtaking, probably one of the best we’ve ever had! We were so happy that the place is pet-friendly - it was wonderful to stay here with our dog. Breakfast was delicious, and parking was easy - there’s a private area and plenty of free spots nearby, especially off-season. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

Perfect location overlooking a lovely beach which was very clean and safe,there was a dog beach as well for our sprocker ..an added bonus in the high temperatures. Our hosts were friendly and helpful about the local area with the coastal path trails to walk and advising on good restaurants.

It is a real jam on the beach. The place is quiet. The beach is superb. Room is comfy. Breakfast is lovely. The best experience was a spectacular path along the ocean with incredible views.

Superb location. Rooms with a great view. Friendly staff. Dog friendly accommodation with many paths to go for walks. The accommodation is only 15 to 20 minutes from Santander Ferry Port. Fantastic breakfast in the morning.

View is amazing of beach and bay. Very well maintained surroundings and joy for dogs. Breakfast was freshly cooked and had use of kitchen but hardly used. Welcome drink
