Overview
Located in the Renon Plateau, Hotel Lichtenstern offers free access to its Turkish Bath, Finnish and infrared saunas, and hot tub. This family-run hotel has a free outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a sun terrace with views on the Dolomites. Guests are given a Ritten Card upon arrival, granting free public transport and free entry to Alto Adige’s museums and public swimming pools. Hiking tours are organised twice a week. Rooms include a satellite flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a balcony or a terrace, and wooden ceilings. Some rooms offer views of the mountains. The buffet breakfast consists of sweet and savoury products including homemade cakes, cold cuts, cheese and eggs. Breakfast can be served either indoors or on the terrace. South Tyrolean and Mediterranean specialities, prepared with fresh local products, can be enjoyed at the restaurant which comes with a terrace. A library with German and Italian books is available on site. The electric train Ferrovia del Renon stopping few metres from the property takes you to the Renon cable car, which has links to Bolzano. On request, a shuttle service can take you to Bolzano Train Station. The Rittner Horn ski slopes are 12 km away.

We had a lovely stay at this charming family-run hotel. We booked two rooms, both were clean, comfortable, and had a stunning view. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The location is perfect as a starting point for day trips in the area. The pool and spa area were relaxing and well-maintained. Highly recommended for a peaceful and pleasant stay

“Everything was fabulous- relaxing with beautiful food and service.”
All staff extremely welcoming and helpful. So relaxing. We were half board and the food was exceptional. All adjustments for gluten intolerances were made and delicious substitutions were required. Room was very spacious and comfortable with terrace outside and close to pool. Spectacular views of the Trenta Dolomiti range. Wonderful holiday would love to return.

Highly recommended hotel. Brightly designed. The rooms are extremely clean and spacious, and it is obvious that they tried to think of small details so that the place provides an excellent experience. Great shower. The bed is comfortable and pleasant. The balcony is spacious and with a breathtaking view. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. The staff are pleasant and extremely helpful. For example, my wife is a vegetarian, and for dinner, the kitchen and the waitress simply went out of their way to adapt a dish to her taste. Value above and beyond. It's a shame we had to continue the trip. Otherwise, we would have been happy to stay longer. Much longer.

Stunning location with views that are magical, we were in room 27 and sat on the balcony for many hours mesmerised. Would love to come back, have reserved 2 rooms for New Years Eve + a few days and really hope to make it back

Awesome stay, comfy room all wooden-made, fantastic view, great breakfast and really friendly owners/staff. One night we got some mulled wine and homemade biscuits to celebrate the Immacculate Conception. that was a fantastic extra treat.

“wonderful, unique and superb experience”
Everything was good about this hotel .. the friendly hosts.. the delicious food .. wonderful hotel staff and above all great location with superb transport system using the ritten card (ask for it at the hotel) we visited in December and it snowed and everything was a winter wonderland! we also had a unique experience where the owner together with his staff lit up a bonfire and distributed delicious homemade biscuits and mulled wine all for free!
