“Wonderful stay near Somo beach”

We had really great stay like home! Sparkling clean place, with great attention to details and decoration. Very close to Somo beach, with comfortable private parking. Breakfast was delicious from fresh products, very complete. All great!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and outstanding service. A special mention goes to the breakfast girl. She was very friendly and gave us a lot of helpful information.

Lovely building and facilities. Staff were very helpful. The hotel is attached hed to a cafe/ pub which served decent food too.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good. The room was large and spacious with air con. Great location with nearby restaurants. 10 minute walk to the beach & and a great local ferry across to Santander, which was a lovely journey to see the bay & very reasonably priced. Went every half hour! Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice ladies running the place and an excellent breakfast. Despite our lack of Spanish, my wife was able to have a good laugh with one of the hosts about chickens.

“A wonderful find”

Everything. The posada was wonderful, quaint and a delight. Maria the owner and the lady helping her were fantastic. They both had a sense of fun and made the stay even better. The private parking right outside the gate was ideal. The small garden was a lovely place to have breakfast. The breakfast menu was very extensive. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Somo.

A beautiful posada. Marie, who speaks excellent English and Gracie, who makes up for her lack of English with a charming smile and personality, were exceptionally welcoming hostesses. The bar and restaurant downstairs were charting and the food was good and well priced.

Breakfast was so delicious, made just in time for us, perfectly homemade. The host was very friendly and met all our requests. Rooms were so cosy and clean, exactly like in the pictures. Also the garden outside the house was very nice, plenty of trees, stylish garden furniture.

Delightful cozy small inn. We stayed one night, our room was lovely. The owner was very gracious and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

“Didn’t want to leave!”

Absolutely LOVED everything! We have been travelling a lot and stayed at over 12 properties and this was our favourite, the host was by far the best, she’s absolutely lovely and we will definitely return! The location is not far from the sea, a 5-10 minute walk but away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast was delicious! The host even brought me a blanket whilst eating breakfast as she could see I was a bit chilly! That is attention to detail!

“INOLVIDABLE DESTINO”

“Great location for the ferry, and food is superb”

The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The owner agreed to move the breakfast offering to a half hour earlier so I could get to my ferry crossing in plenty of time. The ‘suite’ (room 8 on the top floor) was very comfortable. Dinner was fabulous, featuring local fare which was very well prepared and MOST REASONABLY PRICED. I chose the most expensive dishes on the menu, ate four courses, drank a bottle of Moët et Chandon (it was my birthday) and the bill, with an aperitif and coffee to follow, was under a hundred euros. Any ‘normal’ person would spend a LOT LESS The location is way outside of town. So if you want to sight-see in Santander I’d recommend you stay nearer the centre. HOWEVER, if you’re just staying overnight to catch the ferry to the UK next day it’s ideally located. In light traffic you can make the journey in 20mins. One local road, one short blast down the motorway, turn right once the motorway ends, and you’re there. There’s ample parking right outside, a lively bar frequented by locals, and quiet seating areas.
