Overview
Bemon Playa Hotel is located in the town of Somo, across the bay from Santander. It is just 150 metres from a long sandy beach and various surfing schools. Surf equipment can be stored on site. The rooms in the Bemon Playa Hotel are all light and have views. Each of the rooms has en-suite bathrooms, satellite TV and a stereo. The hotel's Italian restaurant Mamma Angelina offers traditional Italian cuisine, and there is a cafeteria serving snacks, tapas, and sandwiches. In the summer months, you can relax and soak up the sun on the hotel’s terrace. The Cantabrian capital of Santander can be reached by boat from Somo in about 10 minutes. The hotel has private parking spaces.

Everything was absolutely great, the staff, the room, the breakfast, everything. Also, they had a special room to store the surfboard. I felt like every need was already anticipated before was stated. I really appreciate their work and will be happy to come back!

I parked over nite outside on the street as others did. My car was damaged by someone driving past. I was told it was ok to park outside. The damaged will cost several hundred euro to repair

“Great price, dog friendly, beautiful beach 5 minutes walk away.”
Lovely place to stay before our ferry from Santander, dog friendly, has a bar/restaurant attached but wasn’t open when we stayed. But lovely traditional Spanish restaurants a couple of minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend.

Great location and very reasonable price. Self check -in was no problem. Great to have the bar underneath. Santander foot ferry from Somo only a short walk away.

“Disappointing”
Breakfast was poor, very little choice. Despite being the hotel being 'dog friendly ' we were refused access to the Breakfast room with our dog, even though it was completely unoccupied, so we had breakfast separately. The 'restaurant' at the hotel didn't open at all, we traipsed around Somo trying to find somewhere dog friendly to eat, before going back to our room with ham, cheese and bread. A great way to end the holiday!!

“Lovely room in a great location.”
It was a lovely room with its own balcony. It was comfortable and clean and in a great location. The staff were helpful and even let me check in early as I arrived earlier than expected.
