The charm of the location and the property cannot be denied. It’s in a quiet street and it’s only a short walk to Davis Square and the train station. We followed the instructions to enter with a door code, signed in and the host (we assumed it was the host as he asked us how we got in) helped us with the luggage upstairs. The room was large, nicely furnished with unexpected touches of a safe, refrigerator and microwave as well as a very comfortable bed. However, some touches we’ve come to expect in this category were not there. The refrigerator had a chilled carafe of water, but nothing else. There was nothing to make cups of tea or coffee, nor any invitation to use those drink making facilities in the dining room. There is plenty of information in the room which is helpful. Breakfast, while the individual components were excellent, we did not find it as described elsewhere. The scrambled eggs were perfect, but there was no evidence of homemade cakes mentioned in another review. Bread (very nice bread it must be said) was the only baked good we saw. Having said that, they accommodated us well on the morning of departure which was much appreciated as we had an early flight. We only met the hostess as we were heading for the taxi to go to the airport (we assumed it was the hostess as she was inviting the cat to go outside and not speaking to us). If we need accommodation in Boston in the future, we would certainly book here again.

This is a little gem of a place to stay in an area that felt very safe to walkaround at night. The owners were away on holiday when we arrived and so their friend Marc was in charge, he was a lovely ,knowledgeable friendly and chatty man who made us very welcome. Our room was large and clean with a fringe, small table/desk and en suite. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but tasty offering of fresh coffee, toast, fruit salad, eggs, yoghurts and homemade cake. Being British the idea of sharing a large table for breakfast with the other guests was something that we would not normally do, but it was a wonderful idea and we meet some very interesting and lovely people. It was a couple of minutes walk from an underground station which made getting into the city extremely easy. If I return to Boston, then I will be staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay here in very nice quarters. I think it was nicer than the photos look. We were there with our 5 month old and they provided a cot for him to sleep in. The breakfast had everything we needed and the house and location were perfect for our needs. The other guests and homeliness of the building bring a nice charm; a bit more personal than a hotel, but with more privacy for guests. We would definitely choose this B&B the next time we're in the area.

Excellent room, cosy place, the owner was an animagus and turned into a chubby cat to prowl around - I loved it. Very home-like.

The location was really amazing, it was very close to the red-line and easily accessible. There were a lot of great restaurants nearby, convenience stores and shops too! Overall it was a great stay.

We had an excellent stay! The check in was smooth and the place was quaint and functional. The breakfast and daily baked goods were an excellent touch. The bathroom and shower pressure were great. A short walk (5 min or less) to the T. Some good restaurants and bars in the area but the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast and it was clear some kept coming back to the same B&B and it was clear why! Would definitely come back. Thanks!

The do-it-yourself continental breakfast was excellent. With cereal, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, toast and jam, and brewed coffee it was great But also the freshly baked cake-type treats were wonderful. Clearly, Morrison House has staked its reputation on spectacular breakfasts. The room was spacious, clean and serviced daily.

The best thing was the location, just 3 or 4 minutes' walk from the Davis MBTA station, with good transport links into Boston. Local area had plenty of places to eat and good information about them was provided in the room. The room itself was a small single, but it was well equipped with a microwave and fridge, a desk and chair. Air conditioning was working well during very hot weather. Breakfast was good, though entirely self-service. Hosts had clearly given a lot of thought to guests' possible needs and things were well laid out and organised throughout the property, with a lot of information labels (possibly too many).
