Overview
Bordering the Namib-Naukluft National Park, this country lodge in Solitaire offers spacious rooms that face the central courtyard with its swimming pool. There is an on-site restaurant and BBQ facilities. Stone floors give the guest accommodations an African touch. Each includes coffee/tea facilities, a seating area, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Breakfast is served daily in Solitaire’s restaurant with its open fireplace and large windows. The owner also sells homemade bread and apple pie. Solitaire is the only village with a gasoline station and post office between the dunes at Sossusvlei and the coast at Walvis Bay. The lodge can also provide fuel and tyre repairs.

“Very busy accomodation”
Beautiful sunset from the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of choices. The staff at the restaurant was fantastic , charming and very helpful. The rooms are clean and large.loved the bakery and apple crumble.

the food!!!.... delicious dinner and nice breakfast....happy staff ..lizzy is lovely, the young men waiting on customers are great . the room was massive, cookies, milk etc. ..such a great welcome.

“only one hotel in Solitaire”
This is a very nice hotel located alomost in the middle of nowhere, the 'town' is very small, but the hotel is very nice, there is a swimming pool, rooms are big and there is hot/cold water, restaurant serves good breakfast and nice choice for dinner, very friendly staff at the reception.

Fantastic location miles from anywhere, a oasis in the desert, renowned for the best apple pie in Namibia. Great place, fuel and food avable. Acvomodation chalet type accomodation simple, clean and with a fantastic powerfully shower to blast thar desert dust away. Highly recommended and will visit again next time we are passing.

“Nice stop over”
Nice stop over between Sossusvlei and Swakopmund Nicly decorated property, with a very nice view of the sunset Gas station is open, even if it doesn't look that way

The area is very hot, however the room aircon is not properly serviced, we were allocated a room with faulty aircon and burned the whole night, you can't even open the widows because of mosquitoes and flies
