“Unimaginable”

Everything was perfect! They had mountain bikes as well which my family and made good use of. They also went above and beyond to make my mother’s birthday memorable. Thank you to the team!

“very nice stay, cool cheetah tour”

This was planned as a "stop over" from Sossusvlei to Windhoek but ended up to be much better than I thought. Staff was the best, the rooms are nice with stunning views. At night the milkyway is amazing. It was too cold to swim but the pool looks dreamy. The road to the lodge is good and short but I saw several animals (Pumba). There is a waterhole on site that sometimes attracts animals depending on season and time of day. The room is large, good comfortable bed, nice warm shower, nice patio, coffee station. The wifi works even at the room furthest away from the main building (no or low cellphone signal). I had dinner at the restaurant which was affordable and they have several actual vegetarian options, the bototi is yummy! Breakfast is good, they can make eggs for you several ways. I did the cheetah tour which I enjoyed much more than I thought. Eventhough it is a sanctuary (cheetahs tend to stay away from people) it was super cool to see them up close and get some awesome photos. The people in the village of Solitaire are very friendly and you should try the apple pie obviously.

Beautiful location, good food, spacious room

The property is beautiful, with many types of pretty cacti. Everything is well taken care of, and these is a nice pool to relax by. They offer a Cheetah drive where you can see wild Cheetahs. Breakfast was nice with a buffet and eggs cooked on request. There is also optional dinner with good options (and options for vegans as well). The room was spacious with a terrace that has a beautiful view.

“Superb all round”

Lovely secluded mountain retreat with very pleasant views over the desert terrain. Staff were all lovely and personable, in particular Anna who was very engaging and professional with attention to detail, checking if music in the restaurant was too loud, and pouring wine for tasting, rather than just dumping the bottle on the table. Beautifully appointed public areas and lovely large clean room with private outdoor space. Highly recommend the cheetah viewing sundowner,  these are rescue managed animals in a very large natural enclosure so very high chance of viewing followed by sundowner in a stunning location.

“Incredible”

It was such a charming stay, we loved every minute of it. The location is incredible, in the middle of nowhere where you can encounter many wild animals. Also the staff were amazing and always ready to help. Highly recommended!
