The hotel manager is extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived late in the evening and she helped us to organise an early morning taxi for the next day. There are a few small restaurants nearby and a small shop where you can stock up on snacks for hiking. The main park entrance is about short bus ride away. Comfortable and clean room. Great value for money.

Location was great. Staff was amazing! Owner is sweet lady with a wonderful SMILE!! The name suits her- very hospitable. Dinner by the river was great. Picked up a pizza at the National park area. Location to bus stop was perfect.

Had a great stay at Smile resort. The host was lovely and very welcoming. There was a great communal breakfast area which served a basic breakfast and was toasty warm in the cold weather + our bedroom floor was heated! The location was super close to the bus stop and easy to access Seoraksan NP.

Stayed at Smile Resort in Sokcho and had such a lovely experience. The place is beautiful and welcoming, and it’s run by a truly lovely lady who makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect if you’re planning to hike or wander through the natural park nearby. After long days exploring the trails, it was wonderful to come back to such a comfortable and cozy room. Breakfast was a highlight too: having roasted chestnuts in the morning was such a unique and delicious treat. The little town itself is very quiet and peaceful, which made the stay even more relaxing. There’s also a great little café called Cafe RR that became our favorite stop for a coffee or a beer after a long hike. And if you’re looking for food, the restaurant Jeonju Korea serves an amazing hot stone vegetable bibimbap that we absolutely loved. Another big plus is how easy it is to get around: buses run very frequently to the park and to Sokcho, so everything is convenient. All in all, Smile Resort is definitely the place to stay if you want a comfortable base for exploring the area and enjoying the beautiful nature around Sokcho.

“Adorable host and perfect location for Seroaksan hikes”

The hotel was perfectly located to go hiking in Seroaksan Park, it was only a 10-min bus ride away. The room was very clean and comfortable. Mrs Kim was absolutely adorable and welcoming, this is the best hotel to stay in Seroaksan!

The host looks after you very well , the rooms are toasty warm , very comfy when it’s cold outside and you have hiked all day . Very good fried chicken restaurant around the corner too .

Location amazing and place next to river incredible

Great location, right next to the bus station which takes you to the entrance of the park. Complimentary breakfast, which was unexpected of cereal, fruits and eggs. Landlady was so kind. Rooms were comfortable and warm, which was lovely after a long hike.

Perfect location to visit the national park. 2 minute walk to the bus stop (7 & 7.1) to the national park & the bus terminal (express + intercity)/city of Sokcho. Several nice restaurants and a 7-eleven close by (max. 6 minute walk). The host is super nice and very helpful. Room is very clean. Breakfast is simple but more than enough. Highly recommended!

“Wonderful hospitaility in a beautiful part of South Korea”

The lady who runs this accomodation is extremely personable and lovely. She made our stay very enjoyable. It felt very homely like we were staying in her house. She minded our luggage a night when we stayed overnight at one of the mountain shelters. She was very kind to our two children giving them ice creams and treats.

Simple room with a private bathroom. Everything was clean and functional. Breakfast is included. The landlady is VERY kind and gives good recommendations to travelers for activities and hiking in Seoraksan park. She even drove me to the Cheoksan Hot springs ! There is an outside terrace with the river running nearby. You can find restaurants and convenience stores close by.
