“Peaceful little hamlet in the mountains”

Quiet. Imagine mountain lodge type of hotel. Friendly and helpful host. Rooms were adequate but clean. The bath is a bonus. Good hot water. Peaceful surroundings for views, walks and simply enjoying the mountain air. Close to convinience store, some restaurants and the bus stop to take 7-1 bus to the natiomal park entrance. You can also walk, takes half an hour. There is a tourist information center across the main toad. We were here in the fall season Nov.

It was clean and comfortable. Great value for money. Free laundry service, 7-11 nearby, super close to bus stop. The place is not modern, new or flashy, but clean and well maintained. Cold water and hot water available to refill bottles. Free wifi. Comfortable common area and cool art works and Korean calligraphy, a big wall shelf of books. Also, as it was not peak time, the owners upgraded us to a bigger room as I was travelling with my son. So kind!!! 🫶

“Good place near the park”

Good location near the bus stop, shops and restaurants. Good size rooms. Friendly owners. Quiet so I slept well.

The owners of this property went above and beyond. They gave us a warm welcome and helped us plan our hikes in the National Park. I really liked that we had the option for an affordable (and delicious) breakfast and dinner. We felt safe, well looked after, and at home here.

The host is the most amazing person. Gave us tips for the hikes in the park and was very helpful throughout. The breakfast is very worthy!

We had a great time for 2 nights, everything was clean and lovely. We got a lot of help to book an overnight stay at a shelter :) exceeded our expectations!

Staff was really friendly, the owner helped us get to the national park and we could check in early and that was great because we could enjoy our day at the national park!

The family running the hotel was incredibly kind, our room was clean and the bed more than comfortable. We had breakfast at the red house across the street, which was also good. On top of that, we were able to buy the tickets for the park right at the Hotel. The check-out was smooth, and they were kind even though we were an hour late.

please keep in mind, that I have a european view: Pros: - large room - high quality mosquito net on window available - fridge available - room was never stuffy (even in august / raining season) and could be cooled easily with air con - beautiful view on surrounding mountains (even if you get a room on the other side of the house, you have beautiful view on the nature) - relativly good bus connection (7 AM ~ 8 PM every 20 min) - flawless WiFi and TV - huge comic collection (korean only) available through owner (nice for kids) - arcade video games are also available - restaurants and 7-Eleven are very close (~ 300 m walk). If you want more, you should take the bus Neutral: - travel time from Sokcho Express Bus Terminal to accomodation ~30 min (the other Terminal adds another 30 min to the local bus travel time since the other Terminal is located in the other half of Sokcho) - due to surrounding nature, many mosquitos available
