Perfect location, right outside the national park. This way we could start the day early with hiking before the crowds and the heat. We got a free upgrade to the family room which was super spacious.

Friendly staff in an old colonial style hotel. Very clean and the room a great size. The bed and the shower were fantastic.

Excellent location, staff was very helpful, and the small convenience store was very, well, convenient. The view of the mountain from our hotel room was simply incredible. The restaurant was not open during our stay but they did offer simple take-away dining to eat in the room.

1. The dinner menu at the Western restaurant was a pasta set, which was excellent. The restaurant was always ok. 2. Bedding The bedroom is neat. 3. They were making and selling Kensington beer that had never been seen before, and it was very good. It is said that it can only be bought at the Kensington Hotel, but it can also be purchased in Kensington, Yeouido. There are two types of ale and lager, and the aroma of ale is amazing. I only drank Budweiser, but I think I will only get Kensington beer for the time being... The alcohol content of ale is 6.5%, so it's a bit chewy... I quickly came up... I bought one lager in my room and drank it, but I think it wasn't good because I drank the ale first... Lager is 4.5%. Only 500 ml cans are available.

It's a lovely hotel. Quite quirky with an old school London feel. The staff were very friendly and the location was perfect as we went o to Sokcho to hike the Seoraksan National Park. If you are visiting Sokcho to hike the Seoraksan National Park then I highly recommend this hotel.

“Slept on the floor…”

We booked a 3-person room. Upon arrival they tried to convince us that we had only paid for breakfast for 2 people, however after 10 minutes discussing agreed that we coule have breakfast for 3. However, when we got to the room, there was only room for 2 people to sleep. We went back to the desk and they informed us that one person needed to sleep on the floor on a thin blanket “Korean style”. They advertised a double bed and futonBED. Due to their poor english and becaude we had already discussed for so long over the breakfast-issue, one person did in fact sleep on the floor. Horrible experience…
