“A hidden gem of a place right next to Korea’s premium national park: Seoraksan. For an unbeatable price. Can’t get bette”
Think of HK RESORT as a famous mini 5 star hotels. And then some. For me, it ticked all the boxes (and I am very particular). Everything felt right: the feel, interior design, facilities, location, service, space, cleanliness, and to top it off, price. In sum, the place felt comfy and was very functional. For sure, I will certainly go back in the future. Thank you.

“Comfortable and convenient accommodation right by Seoraksan National Park!”
The location was perfect for an early morning hike - very close to the bus stop and to the Seoraksan National Park. Amazing view of the mountains, and overall very comfortable accommodation. 7eleven nearby. Very kind and helpful staff.

There was nothing to complain about. It was clean and it was spacious. Not many guests. It's just that the surroundings feel a bit abandoned. There are several buildings and one huge hotel, all empty and closed. There are three restaurants of which we can recommend them all :-) (picture below) and one store. It's a perfect hub to venture into Seoraksan as it's very close.

“Overall really good”
The receptionist was so kind and insisted to help me with my luggage because it was really heavy. Shower pressure good was good. They gave me extra toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap and shower glove but I didn’t need it. Was nice nevertheless. They had underfloor heating so it was nice and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. It is a bit retro which I saw from the pictures but very clean. I saw other people complaining they didn’t have a bed. My room had a real bed. Wifi was working well for me and a 7eleven really close by.

“Good stay”
Great location, 2 bus stops from national park, 34 min on foot. Big room, with shower in bathtube. Microwave and Fridge working fine. A/C working fine. Convenience store very near. Reasonable price.

“Simple and cheap stay. No reception though so don’t expect service”
Cheap and near to convenience store and conveniently located near Seoraksan with bus stop. Reception is usually not manned though, so there is no service if you are looking for one.

“Calm snd simple for one night, convenient place”
It’s in very calm place, near the main road to Seoraksan park. The room is basic, but for one night it was ok. The hotel was so empty, we didn’t meet any people there, we were lucky we meet receptionist once and he gave us the keys, we didn’t saw anybody there.

“I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the area.”
I recently stayed at the HK Resort in Sokcho, which is conveniently located near the entrance to the Seoraksan National Park. The room was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay: a full kitchen (gas stove, refrigerator, sink, and dishes), and a good bed in the bedroom. Everything was very clean. There is a convenience store and a bus stop nearby.

Staff very helpful and friendly, well situated to the entrance of Seoraksan national park, nice sized room with all the facilities you need. Plus a nice clean bathroom for the end of the day after a long hike.

A place you want to go after a rough hike. A lot of space, a hot shower and a very comfortable place. The staff was very helpful with the information needed about the area. Recommended!
