Very special and unique place..like a Badehotel. Full of character situated on a beautiful stretch of coastline. Imagine staying with good friends, fine food, home made breakfasts. Lovely areas to sit, tranquil woods behind to walk through. It has it all. Owners and staff a delight. Took us to railway station. Restaurant choices nearby. Bus stop right outside.

We stayed on a Friday evening when supper was an option. Don’t bother booking anywhere else for a meal, the food was fantastic & delightful hosts & staff. We stayed in room 2 with a forest view, as we thought that would be quieter than the roadside. However the road was very quiet with little traffic, so it wouldn’t have been a problem. I am slightly concerned that my husband’s horrific snoring kept our neighbours awake during the night as the walls were quite thin. I resorted to my noise cancelling headphones. The beach is a short walk, minutes, away & there were people swimming in late August. The bus stop to Helsingor is right outside & the train is a 20 minute walk away. We highly recommend as a quiet and unassuming, but delightful place to stay.

“Our atay at Villa Brinkly”

The stay was so peaceful, I had the best nights sleep in a long time. We have been out for 7 days staying at different hotels both here in Danemark and in Germany: Villa Brinkly was by far the best. For the evening meal we had poke bowl & fish n' chips. The food was perfect. We ate outside in the beer garden. Breakfast was a buffet with a large comprehensive selection, the coffee was amazing... Most impressive of all was the laid-back atmosphere set by the hosts Annette and Erik..

Good location, bus stop at the front door, close to beach , walking distance to train station, harbour . Very friendly staff and owner. A beautiful garden where you can sit there to enjoy your time. Very good breakfast.

Annette and Erik are very kind and friendly and along with the nice staff create a very warm atmosphere. The location is amazing, in between sea and forest. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed superb sleep while listening to the birds. Annette’s food was yummy. Overall, our stay there elevated our trip and gifted us beautiful memories. We would definitely love to go back and would recommend Hotel Villa Brinkly with no hesitation. Thank you Annette and Erik!

“Relaxing, informal beautiful retreat.”

A beautiful, relaxed and rejuvenating place to stay surrounded by forest, water and nature. The rooms are fabulous, and the beds exceptionally comfortable. We felt very at home here. The bedrooms overlooking the courtyard are fabulous which has an abundance of comfortable seating and herb planters. Stunning.

Breakfast was substantial. Our room was lovely and sunny (the Forest room) and Annette was a wonderful host.

We felt very comfortable. It is an interesting building with history. It was still too cold for a swim in the nearby beach before breakfast. The breakfast was wonderful.

Breakfast was fantastic which a good choice of items and gluten free options for our daughter.

Very bad. Booking confirmed but no room when I got there. Complained and they said they would refund me but I am still seeing a large charge against my credit card which neither the hotel nor booking.com seem to want to refund.

Fabulous location, beautiful house with coastal decor and so many interesting details. Our room looked on to the garden and forest. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, with the freshest of ingredients, prepared by chef Annette.

“A gem of a hotel convenient for Elsinore and the Louisiana art museum”

Hotel Villa Brinkly is a gem of a place that should be better known. It is run by Annette Buch Petersen and Erik Steen, who are charming and make your stay special. Annette is a superb chef (be sure to stay on a Friday or Saturday if you want to eat in their restaurant) deserving of international recognition and Erik is the guy who built the place (Brinkly means it is in the lee of a hill) and is a keen car enthusiast who has photo books of all the car clubs that have visited. The property is tastefully and interestingly furnished with a seaside/nautical theme, everything being that little bit special. Its location is a near-perfect halfway between Elsinore (Hamlet's Castle) and the superb Louisiana art museum. However, it should be noted that sea views are really sea glimpses, as Villa Brinkly is across the road from the seashore and looks over the properties opposite towards the sea. That doesn't detract from the setting, though, as crossing the road and walking up the shoreline (northwards) takes you to the lovely Vores Skotterup restaurant and the stylish Cafe Vitus at Snekkersten harbour.

Beds were excellent. Breakfast was excellent lots of variety. Host cooked us dinner that was superb.was also close enough to walk to a fantastic cafe for other dinners. Check in was smooth decor interesting and eclectic.
