“Highly recommended!”

We spent 2 nights at Zafran Apartment and we can highly recommend it! We traveled as a family of four, and everything was perfect. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. It’s an ideal location for exploring Plitvice Lakes. The hosts were kind and helpful, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay!

The accommodation is nice, and so is the surrounding area. There’s a small shop nearby with basic groceries, and if needed, the restaurant is right next to the accommodation.

Such a sweet wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere but with a little grocer right across the road, it’s very own excellent restaurant and a chapel just down the road. Very friendly host. It was perfect.

Closeness to the parks by car. Friendly staff. Onsite restaurant was amazing (though on the pricey side imo).

Very lovely family run accommodation with a nice restaurant on site. Apartment was close to Plitvice Lakes NP and hosts gave us good information about visiting the park and other attractions.

Lovely cottage with a wonderful host. The smell of wooden cottage is unique and refreshing. Parking was easy and the dinner from the restaurant run by the hosts was quite nice too

“A wooden house made you feel chilled”

We stayed here for one night after our day trip to Plitvice Lake National Park. It’s only about a 10-minute drive from the parking area at entrance 2. The location is lovely and peaceful. The host is also the owner of the restaurant, making check-in very convenient. The restaurant is situated right next to the guest house, which is a great option if you prefer not to venture far for a meal. The food there is excellent as well. There’s just one air conditioner in the living room, but it’s perfectly fine since the nights are quite cool. From the balcony, you can see plenty of stars, and the cozy wooden house helped us relax, making it easy to drift off to sleep.

A cozy cabin with relaxing balcony surrounded by forest. There is an exceptional restaurant on the property. Our host was kind and gave us perfect route to follow to see the lakes (which also meant we only crossed over with tour groups at the start and enjoyed all the spectacular parts peacefully almost alone!)

“Cosy and perfectly located but some small issues”

Positives: Nice cosy room, conveniently located to the national park. Beautiful setting. Friendly host. Nice walk down the hill to river. Negatives: Wifi not working, TV not working, the advertised on-site restaurant to buy breakfast and other meals was not open. Not a real problem but we would have packed differently for the trip had we known. Dishwashing liquid and shower soap not provided. Shower leaks all over floor - would have been fine if towels were changed but they were not. Toilet seat does not fit toilet - this sounds like a minor issue but means the seat pinches your skin and on one occasion made me bleed. Please fix this one as I see lots of other reviewers have commented on it too. Only enough hot water for one person to shower. Despite these issues (which would be fairly easily fixed) it was a lovely location and place.

Great location to visit the lakes, only 10 min drive. Small log cabin, perfect for family of 4 (would be tight for 6!) Air con a bonus. Small kitchen with 2 hob but we cooked a meal no problem. Owners were very kind and helpful, their bistro next door was very popular and served good food.
