Ticked all the boxes: friendly people, spacious room (apartment really), comfortable, clean, easy to park, quiet at night and a tasty breakfast early enough to enjoy before our day at the Assen racetrack. Not often that I can't think of anything missing or to improve :-)

Easy to find and good parking directly in front of the B&B. The apartment (as it is a lot more than but a 1 room B&B) looked fantastic on our arrival at 21:00 at night. Beautiful soft and warm lighting made it feel very welcoming. We were very impressed with the attention to detail that this couple put into their property. They have put a lot of love and care into getting every detail perfect. A Very comfortable bed where we both slept very well was followed by an AMAZING breakfast !!! Far more than we could eat... We were there in winter so we could not really use the private patio in the garden but I can imagine that having breakfast out there would be a beautiful and VERY memorable experience. I look forward to booking again as this little diamond would make an ideal base of operations from which to explore the northern area of the Netherlands.

Brilliant location very quiet, only 5 minutes away from the assen TT circuit. Huge room, super comfortable bed, easy parking, very clean and large bathroom and lovely helpful hosts.

Breakfast was excellent with bread, fruit and tea/coffee. Too much, so we took something with us for lunch. There was a nespresso-machine with some cups.

The hosts are very nice and friendly. We are very happy with everything, especially the breakfast. Surroundings are rural, there is a nice patio. We hope to come back some day.

“one night was not enough”
we liked everything about De Schotse Hooglanders. The indoor space was huge, clean and beautiful and outdoors was picture perfect. Breakfast was perfect and our hosts were fantastic. would highly recommend and would love to stay again for longer
