As we just stayed for one Night and the westher was cold, windy and rainy we stayed in our room Most of the time. The room was beautifully furnished and we had a fireplace which made it very cosy. The Garden seems to be a jewel but we were to Early in the year.

A beautifull accommodation and an excellent service. We were here in early febuary and it was very quiet. Dinner in the restaurant was the best we had in Marocco so far. Fresh made bread and a chocolatemousse to come back for. We had an beautifull room and the staff prepared the fireplace for us. This place felt like our second honeymoon.

The staff were exceptional. They were really helpful when I needed suggestions for day trips and were able to organise guides and taxis. Staff also went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. As a solo woman traveller, the hotel offered support and advice for my trips. I am a vegetarian and the cook served me an excellent variety throughout the week. It’s also worth trying Moroccan wine which is delicious. The hotel is very individual. As the name suggests it is around a garden which is even green in the cold months and also full of birds. I stayed over Christmas and there was a welcoming fire in the main dining room which we were free to use in the day. Staff put up Christmas decorations and we had a local musician to entertain us over dinner in the evenings. It was very festive.

This place is super special. The garden is lovely, set amongst olive and pomegranate trees, there are multiples places to sit and relax. The pool area is gorgeous with plenty of towels and daybeds. Basketball, boules, table tennis and badminton kept us entertained. Great Kasbah just up the road for a wee visit. The staff are super lovely and helpful. We loved our stay and wished we had more time.

“Disappointing stay despite a beautiful setting”

I generally prefer not to write negative reviews. Things can go wrong anywhere, and if issues are handled properly, there’s no need to dwell on them. However, at this otherwise beautiful Riad where we stayed for three nights, quite a lot went wrong. The staff do their best, but the real problem lies with the French owner, who took over the property three years ago from the former owner, Caroline. Unfortunately, hospitality does not seem to be in her nature. She makes every effort to ignore the handful of guests staying here, and she succeeds in doing so. She is constantly present, yet finds it difficult even to say hello—let alone engage in a small conversation. At a Hilton with 500 rooms you wouldn’t expect that, but at a small, remote location like this you would, and her behavior makes the atmosphere not only inhospitable but also uncomfortable, precisely because she is always around. It starts with accessibility. When booking, we received a warning not to follow Google Maps, but to take an alternative route signposted with orange boards. This was a few kilometers of gravel road, manageable even without a 4x4. Halfway through, however, we found the road had been dug up. Judging by the state of it, this had been the case for a while—yet no one had informed us. Luckily, someone passing on a bicycle was kind enough to point out an alternative route. That path was really not suitable for our rented Peugeot 208, but after half an hour we made it to the Riad. Not a single word was said about the roadworks… Our advice: do not arrive in the dark. The Riad is practically impossible to find at night. The room itself was beautiful and comfortable, but unfortunately the shower faucet broke on our first morning. We reported it and were told a plumber had to come, so we would be moved to another room once it became available after other guests checked out. Around noon we could finally switch rooms.

What a delightful place to stay! We loved our two nights here, and spent time enjoying the beautiful gardens, charming rooms and wonderful pool Food was delicious, and it was wonderful to have a drink at sunset on the roof, overlooking the palm grove.

“A beautiful oasis in an oasis.”

The hotel and the garden are beautiful, such a lovely and peaceful place to stay. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, they helped arrange a taxi back to Ouzarzate. The dinner in the garden by candlelight was also spectacular, the food was delicious, the best I’ve had so far in Morocco. I would not hesitate to stay again.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent and servings are generous. The property is exceedingly beautiful, with tastefully decorated rooms, a large garden filled with spots to sit and relax, multiple beautiful terraces and a clear respect for traditional building styles and techniques. The most relaxing stay we've had in Morocco so far, set against the stunning backdrop of an arid landscape studded with palm and olive trees, with the snow-capped Atlas mountains looming in the distance.
