Lovely people and excellent service. We had the whole place to ourselves, which made for a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The property has a lot of charm and potential, and despite being a little run down in places, we felt it offered good value for money. We only stayed for one night to break up our road trip from Merzouga to Marrakech, and it was perfect for that purpose. If you’re looking for a quiet overnight stop with welcoming hosts, it’s a great option.

A relaxing 2-night stay in Skoura while travelling solo with my 6-year-old. It was our second stop, and we enjoyed visiting the nearby palm groves and exploring the area by car. On the second day we simply relaxed, as there isn’t much to do in Skoura centre, so we were really glad to stay in an Airbnb with great facilities — a beautiful garden, pétanque, and animals like cats and sheep, which my son loved. Our host Lahcen and the team were very friendly, and the home-cooked Moroccan dinner was delicious with very generous portions. Overall, it was very well priced for the amenities and experience.

Really enjoyed our stay here. This is a renovated Kasbah with a lovely garden for you to relax in. The rooms were great, the food brilliant and the hosts so friendly. We didnt use the pool as the weather wasn't quite hot enough

Absolutely incredible!!! The most beautiful place I’ve stayed at in Morocco. It’s a 200-year-old traditional mud-brick palace, set in a palm oasis with fantastic views of the mountains. The food is delicious and is either local or from the garden. Lovely bedrooms and a huge garden - very relaxing and refreshing ! Excellent value for money. Tip: fun local market for farm produce on a Monday.

“Perfect stay in Skoura”

The owner is very friendly. Without a heads-up he prepared a tasty lunch for us. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the big garden (even played pétanque together). Breakfast in the morning was one of the best we had during our trip.

Dar es Salam means welcome to paradise and this is exactly what this place is. After a long drive we arrived to this beautiful place with a lovely garden and a very clean room. We got to meet the owner and shared very nice conversations. Lahcine received us in a very friendly and calm way and offered us welcome tea. The property is easy to find on google maps. The bed was very comfortable- we also had dinner, and it was one of the best Tajine we had in Morroco. Thanks so much! Inshallah we will be back.

“Cosy stay in a real kasbah”

If you have not yet stayed in a real kasbah, this is your chance. 18th century core building fully restored with nicely decorated, comfortable rooms. Set within a picturesque orchard of palm trees. Dinner and breakfast are served in the garden. Pool. Great food. If you travel in spring, you can see the snow in the Atlas. Plenty of parking on the grounds.

The most beautiful Casbah in Skoura, so much space, a beautiful pool and the friendliest hosts. Shukran Lahcen, until next time.

“Magnificent”

Absolutely majestic p(a)lace. The owners speak english and french and can help you with all your questions. The pool is really nice and is refreshing in hot sunny days. They even offered me dates and tea when I just arrived. This place is a hidden gem. Waking up with the serene peace of bird sounds was the best!! Lahcine and your colleage, thank you so much. I’ll be back whenever in Maroc again!

“We would definitely go back there again”

Our stay was amazing, we wish we had more time to stay there a few more days. The Kasbah is really something else, and has been there for a very, very long time (as we understood it, since the 1700s, but we’re not completely sure we understood right) incredibly beautiful and big complex, with beautiful gardens. When we were there in early March it was too cold for us to swim in the pool, but some laying in the sun was possible. We can imagine in the warmer months that it would be an absolute dream. The room was super nice, so very quiet and a very comfortable bed. We slept well. The staff and host were very hospitable and attentive, with some lovely complementary mint tea upon our late night arrival, after a very long car ride from Marrakech. Breakfast was also nice.
