Situated just 17 km from Lom stave church, Mogard provides accommodation in Skjåk with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. “Nice little cottage in the middle of a picturesque landscape”
The location was easily reachable by car(as we did so). A big mountain towering behind the facility adds to the feel. It does feel slightly remote but it is 15 min drive from Lom but there is even a closer town near by if you turn right from the road to get groceries and stuff. While we were leaving a lovely boy cutting the grass in the lawn told us about a newly opened beach with a swing that goes on top of the water. It was just a 5 mins drive from there and it was magical.

“Nice place with beautiful surroundings.”
It's a really nice place, with nice cabins. The view is really outstanding. The kitchen and the bathroom are okay, and the televisions are smart tvs.

The bungalow had basic amenities. There was a stove and dishes in the kitchenette. The light from the lamps was not strong enough and it was dark inside the bungalow. Bed linen is at an additional cost, which was clearly marked, but we still pay attention to other tourists. When we arrived there was no one at the reception. We called the phone number provided, but there was no answer. In the meantime, other tourists came with a reservation and they knocked on the neighbor's door so the guy found another phone and called. 5 minutes later the reception lady arrived. There are no mosquito nets on the windows/as in all Norway/ and there are big fierce mosquitos.

“Be aware of deceiving price, there are charges in addition so it can double”
I contacted the property before the trip regarding what is included and didn't get any answer, very bad communication from their side. When we arrived it turned out that we have to pay for bed sheets more than we payed for renting the place, the room was around 100$ and for the sheets they charged us 120$ so in total 220$... Be aware of this it's very deceiving! The room is quite small, the ventilation doesn't work and the windows are not covered with mosquito nets so it is impossible to get fresh air during the night even though you are surrounded by nature...
