Overview
This hostel is located on Skanderborg Lake, only 2 km from central Skanderborg. It offers a small private beach, a shared kitchen and free Wi-Fi in all public areas. All rooms and cabins at Danhostel Skanderborg have a private bathroom and cable TV. The cabins have well-equipped kitchen facilities and a furnished terrace. Hairdryers and CD players can be borrowed at the reception. Guests can rent bed linen and towels at Danhostel Skanderborg or choose to bring their own. Bed linen and towels are included in all our room types. Facilities include a kitchen for all guests, a BBQ area by the lake, and a laundry service on request. Canoe rentals are available for those looking to explore. Bicycle rental upon request. The E45 motorway is only a 5-minute drive away. The hostel also offers free parking and charging stations (Charging -App: Siiro).

Environment, calmness, nature, snow. The location is literally a zen for the mind. Requires a very slight adjustment after gps, however, still easy to find.

The setting is wonderful, directly on the lake. The cabins are comfortable, cosy and had everything we need. The staff were lovely. This was a perfect stay after the more hectic pace of Copenhagen.

“Don’t miss this wonderful Danhostel if you plan on visiting Denmark’s Lake District in Jutland.”
We didn’t try the breakfast, as we were in a self-catering cabin. The location is fantastic! It is off the beaten track, right on the lake, surrounded by hiking trails, peaceful and geared for an active vacation. The staff is very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again for a longer period of time.

Great small and cosy rooms close to the Skanderborg Lake. It is a hostel i.e. not a hotel, so it is kind of selfservice, but in the good way. You can buy coffee, ice-cream and snacks in the reception. A great place to relax and enjoy beautiful views and a quite afternoon and evening far away from traffic.

“Lovely location but poor quality room. Room not clean!”
Beautiful location in the forest and next to a lake. Very quiet environments. Good service from the staff. Good and free parking.
