“Not recommended for people without a car”

Before booking the house, I called Evgenya and asked her whether the house is located on a hill and explained her that I am after a hip replacement surgery. I also asked if the way to the nearest beach is plain. Evgenya answered me that of course it is plain, everything is plain in Sissi. The house was situated on the top of the hill , the way to the nearest beach was through the hills also, it took us about 30 min to get there and it rather spoiled our stay. We were waiting for our daily walks to the beach. Though she promised the area is well serviced with public transportation and taxis ,reality was that there are only a few buses a day, and they are not useful or regular, so at the end, we had to rent a car, as no taxi was willing to take us for a short distance

This is truely a "home away from home" if you are looking for a maximum comfort and independant stay ! The house itself is a gem, made with quality materials & decorated with taste. It was sooo nice to come back from visiting beautiful Lassithia in a real home (not a vacation rental !). Having a coffee or glass of chilled wine on the large terrace, wonder around the garden full of inspiring smells, chat with the neighbors, sleep in a super comfy bed, nice hot shower anytime of the day, all what you need to cook a solid meal or light snack, enjoy the peace and calm of the neighborhood, relax with a book or strong wifi for your favorite film/music streaming.... The size of the house was luxury for myself :D and can easily accommodate a family for several days (plenty of storage and space to move around inside in case the weather is not playing the game). Sisi is strategically located to discover Lassithi Plateau and other attractions in the neighborhood; a car is highly recommendable if you want to make the most of your stay. If not, the port is not far and provides a nice selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and access to the sea. Finally Evgenia and her husband Nikos are lovely people; we had several exchanges before and during my stay and I honestly cannot think of anything negative. The pictures do part of the job, the positive vibrations in and around this house make the difference ;-) So if you are lucky to stay here, maybe you will also fall in Love with this HOME. The property was high quality modern accommodation and great value. There are nice outdoor seating areas. I did not meet my host Evgenia, but she was helpful with questions before our stay and checked we were happy on arrival.

We were looking for a comfortable , greek-style apartment for 4 in a quiet area of Sissi with a walking distance to the port, restaurants and close to Lassithi attractions etc. and Lemonokipos is UNBEATABLE , also when you take into account the price you pay for this little gem in Sissi. I would stay there for long time feeling at home. The hosts are running their business with heart and very professionally. Their recommendation of eg. good restaurants you can take for granted, You will not be dissapointed. Thank you Evegenia and Nikos. !!! We will come back with pleasure since it was our top 3 of the nicest place we've ever been in Greece :)
