“Beautiful nature, peaceful and secluded location, delicious food, entertainment, and friendly staff”

The hotel's location is exactly what we were looking for - peaceful and secluded, away from the bustle of other hotels and restaurants. There is also a pleasant walking path along the coastline. The hotel has its own beach, which was a real highlight. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive and accommodating, always on hand with information or assistance whenever we needed it. The food was delicious and the variety impressive, with dining available from early morning until late evening across the main restaurant, beach bar and hotel bar. The facilities were excellent. There was enough space at the swimming pool and on the beach. The pool water was a perfect temperature and refreshingly free of harsh chemicals. The pool itself is large and deep. There is also a separate children's pool nearby. The hotel runs a daily activities program including aqua aerobics, yoga, water polo, darts and more. There is a tennis court and table tennis, with equipment provided by the hotel. There is also lively evening entertainment, with performances by local and international artists. Our room was simple, clean and had everything we needed, though we barely spent any time there. We had a truly wonderful stay at the Grecotel Meli Palace and will definitely be back.

“Wonderful place”

The stay at the hotel was wonderful. The area is very quiet, with a private beach and a view of the sunset. We got a room with a view of the mountains and palm trees, there was no noise from the hotel, we go to bed early, so we could rest well. and in the morning the bushes chirped from the birds. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, although it is visible that the hotel is used a lot and is not very new. used, but also loved. The food is fresh, fragrant and very tasty. Separately we would like to thank all the staff who ensure our comfort. and the people who meet, carry suitcases, clean every morning, sweep, mow the grass, cook, bake, pour wine and clean sauce stains from the serving tables. and thank the yoga teacher and the animator! Thank you very much, we will definitely want to come back.

A genuinely good hotel where you immediately feel at home — or as if you’ve come to visit family or close friends. The staff are extremely polite, positive, and always ready to help with any request, yet never intrusive. Nothing disturbs your relaxation here. The food and service are absolutely 10 out of 10. The location was perfect for us — peaceful and surrounded by nature. If you prefer lively nightlife, cafes, bars, and parties, this isn’t the place for you. But if you value tranquility and beautiful surroundings, you’ll love it here. A couple of small suggestions: the rooms could use a bit of renovation as they feel a little tired, and while the mattress is quite soft (which I personally liked), others might prefer something firmer. It’s also a pity that smoking is allowed on the balconies — though that’s common in many hotels. Overall, I can say one thing: I truly recommend this place!

The location in its own private little bay is just perfect! The hotel is not overly large either which again makes it a wonderful place, for all. You have the choice of pool and beech and you can even walk to the two towns on either side. Staff where incredibly kind and welcoming!

“Excellent value with very attentive staff”

The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. There was a good variety of food, lots of fresh vegetables/salads and fruit. The hotel was spotlessly clean - in side and out. The garden area was pretty and well tended.

“Good, but don’t bother with reception staff.”

Beautiful sea and pool they owned. The food was great, as were the drinks. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The waiting staff were friendly. The cats were a nice touch too.

“Meli Palace - An excellent hotel with brilliant staff”

The staff were truly excellent at Grecotel Meli Palace, elevating our experience to the highest level. Firstly Dimitra and Yannis were extremely helpful and accommodating. Secondly, when we went to eat at the excellent restaurant, we were always met with friendliness from Giorgios, Maria, Ioanna and Chrysola who were great with us and our little baby. Thirdly, a big thank you to Katerina at the pool bar who made the best Decaf Caffe Freddos and Pina Coladas! Fourthly to the entertainment team David, Monica, Rafa, Olivia, Daphne and Fritzy who worked hard through the day, into the night to facilitate great shows and events for the guests (in particular the kids disco!). Last but not least, to the cooks making delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the cleaning and gardening staff for keeping the hotel and grounds looking great. For the price, Meli Palace will be hard to beat.

“Amazing Staff”

The staff was amazing! Helped us with everything we need including food preferences, transportation in the city and everything we needed. Specifically Alexandros (the receptionist) and George (the b&f manager), both were amazing and made sure our stay was pleasant. Great facilities and service!!! We highly recommend.

The staff! Maria and the restaurant team were incredible. This was our first all inclusive holiday. Between us we have over a dozen allergies/intolerances so we were very nervous about food. Whilst most of the buffet food was not an option for us, the chef made a special effort to make a separate meal for one of us. We all managed to eat without incident, which is a huge credit to this hotel given how many guests they have. Christina and the spa staff were so friendly and the massages are highly recommended.

Our experience was great. The place is in a serene place surrounded by beautiful nature. The beach is only for the hotel guests; therefore, it is clean and safe. Ideal place for families or couples. Food was amazing, to everyone's liking. Overall, I would recommend that place.

A Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. It's a very family-friendly place, and we felt completely at ease with our child throughout the stay. The garden is absolutely beautiful – a peaceful and well-maintained space that made our time there even more relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back!

Garden, beach and pool area was clean and well maintained. I've had better and bigger choice of food in other hotels in Greece and on Crete, but everything I've tried in Meli Palace was delicious. Restaurant, pool bar and lobby bar staff was nice and attentive.

“Great if you like all-inclusive”

Not much really. Our first ever all-inclusive and would not drag us back a second time. Some of the people looking after us were fantastic but unfortunately it felt like too many were looking forward to the end of the season and were difficult to engage with in the dining room, e.g. for drinks.

The only good thing about this place are the nice staff and fresh food everyday.
