Canjahawon Nipa Hut is the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. The food there was delicious, the welcome so warm, and the sweetest dog made it feel even more like home. The cacao experience was truly special, deeply rooted in tradition and made with so much care. I left feeling rested and grateful. I hope to be back some day!♥️

“Back to basics jungle stay!”

Ultimate nature trip, immersed in the jungle! What a view to wake up to. Yummy simple vegetarian Filipino dishes offered three times a day. Breakfast omelette and rice particularly tasty! Staff were so lovely, chatty and helpful!

The staff were excellent. Very nice place to chill and have a little social interaction. Great spot in the mountains with easy access to the Cantabon cave..also a MUST while there. I enjoyed playing music with the staff and sharing stories.. definitely recommend this place.... TIP...... bring your own alcohol if needed... And groceries for cooking...hut #9 had a fridge and cooktop with a sink. The menu is good but very limited... NO MEAT AT ALL! Even in the little town nearby we found the last piece of frozen chicken.

Magical place as long as you don’t mind big geckos, spiders and ants in your room : You are up in the nature. So relaxing. The staff members are the best people ever, don’t forget to try their home made hot chocolate! The twin room has less light then the other ones, the queen room is absolutely gorgeous & the budget room is also gorgeous

“Immersed in Nature, great staff”

A great hotel immersed in the jungle, with single bungalows in a tree-house style. The rooms are spacious, full of natural light, and very simple in a good way. The bathroom is basic, and the balcony is a net where you can literally hang over the jungle, surrounded by greenery and its sounds — a truly relaxing experience. The staff is super accommodating, always kind and helpful. Special shout-out to Israel, the chef, who cooked us the best grilled fish of our lives.

Amazing place in the middle of nature! Beautiful view of the ricefield while having a tasty lunch. They even made breakfast early on request. Staff was so friendly and Dodo even played beautiful piano music in the morning. Thanks a lot for this beautiful experience!

“Dschungelcamp 2.0”

The restaurant and its view was quite nice. The host was friendly. We can‘t say anything positive about our room. The hut was very aside from the other huts. There was no shower. We have to take a shower in the jungle with a bucket. The toilet was another hut with no walls and no flush. All in all we felt very unwell and only stayed for one night instead of three nights. Tip: the accomodation don‘t rent scooters. You have to rent one at the port. Otherwise the host have to bring you to the port which cost 350 pesos.

“Get stay in Siquijour!!!”

We loved everything about Nipa Hut - the location, the family & the staff, and the food was absolutely amazing! It was such a peaceful getaway - we wish we could have stayed longer! Siquijor is a beautiful place, and Nipa Hut is right in the middle of the island, which makes it easy to get to everything & as it's up in the mountains, the scenery is absolutely stunning! A special thanks goes out to Dodo, who helped us get a scooter in town, helped organise transport to the Port, and always had a smile on his face! Not to mention, he was a great musician! We will be back to stay here longer and sing some karaoke with you, Dodo!!!

Always my favourite place to stay. If you want to be close to nature and off grid, this is the perfect stay. Staff are the most friendly and welcoming people ever. You will feel like they’re your family

“Basic but peaceful”

So peaceful. The worker at the bar was absolutely amazing, completely transformed my stressful evening into a lovely one. Played his keyboard while we watched fireflies and it was so nice. Thank you!
