Overview
Hotel Castel is situated in the heart of the capital of Valais between castles and vineyards, just below Tourbillon Castle, a 4-minute walk from the centre of Sion and a 15-minute walk from the train station. With mountain views, all rooms include a minibar, a flat-screen TV, free high-speed WiFi and a shower room. Guests coming by car can reserve a private parking space for a daily fee. On request, you can be picked up at the train station and you can hite an electric vehicle to discover our destination. The restaurant serves home-made dishes and is open from Monday to Friday. There is also a café bar, a large sun terrace and a playground for children. Hotel Castel is close to the Tourbillon stadium, a 5-minute drive from Sion golf course and 10 minutes from Sierre golf course.

We were in Sion to visit family, and for this purpose as well as to visit in the region, the hotel was perfectly located. The hotel rooms had a good size and the staff (all categories) were helpful and kind.

The breakfast buffet was really good. All the staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs makes the best pizzas. Free navette were great.

It was good value for money for Switzerland. We ended up taking a family room and it was spacious. The hotel restaurant is expensive but very good. Parking and good location. Wifi was good.

Very clean and spacious room, with a coffee machine and a small fridge. Excellent view on the castle from the window . Friendly and helpful staff. Close to the city centre and to the local hospital (I was visiting someone at Sion Hospital).

“We enjoyed a view of the Castle. The hotel was just a 15-minute walk from Sion train station.”
The reception provided us with assistance and guidance on securing a taxi during the early hours, considering our inability to communicate in the local language.
