I felt completely at home at Mondi Lodge! Danita and her team are amazing hosts – incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. This was my first solo trip, and from the very first day I felt safe, seen, and truly at home. Danita is not only a wonderful host but also a very warm and supportive person. Her kindness and openness made this stay something truly special. Ben, Danita’s parents, and the entire team also contributed so much to making this visit unforgettable – you can truly feel the heart and love they put into this place. I could come to Danita with any concern at any time, and she always helped with great insider tips. The app is very well organized, authentic, and thoughtfully designed. The beautiful garden with its many plants, Charlie the cat, Mijko, and the two donkeys made the place feel magical 🐾🌿 The pool was always very clean and had a pleasant temperature. I also loved the open kitchen, the drinks fridge, and the coffee machine that were available at any time. The accommodation itself is a dream: rustic, cozy, and equipped with everything you could need. I was lucky to meet wonderful people there and can wholeheartedly recommend Mondi Lodge. If I ever return to this beautiful island, this will definitely be my first choice. I will miss this place, the animals, and especially the amazing people very much. Heartwarming stay at Mondi Lodge – a little oasis I didn’t want to leave I had a truly wonderful stay at Mondi Lodge – from the first moment it already felt like a little home away from home. The lodge has a warm, relaxed atmosphere and you can feel the love and care that went into creating the place. Check-in was easy and personal, and communication with the host was always quick, clear and genuinely friendly. Nothing felt “standard” or rushed – they really take the time for you and are happy to help with tips for beaches, restaurants and things to do on the island. The bungalow was cozy, spotless and very comfortable. The bed slept great, the air conditioning worked well and the Wi-Fi was reliable. I also really liked the small kitchen setup, which made it easy to prepare something simple when I didn’t feel like going out. The bathroom was clean, with a good shower and enough towels. The location is perfect: nicely tucked away in nature so it feels peaceful and private, but still only a short drive to Willemstad, supermarkets and some of the most beautiful beaches. Having a rental car is definitely useful, and there was always safe parking available on the property. What I loved most about Mondi Lodge were all the small details: • The lush garden and the feeling of being surrounded by nature • The quiet, relaxed vibe – ideal to unwind after a day of exploring • The kindness and warmth of the people running the place Overall, my stay at Mondi Lodge was more than just “accommodation” – it was an experience. “Piece of paradise in the beauty of nature minutes from Willemstad”

The staff at Mondi Lodge are an absolute treasure! We were welcomed with warm enthusiasm and left with genuine hugs. This little family is wonderful and we are going to miss them. It was lovely to sit by the pool & chat or have a dip late in the evening. The Yuana treehouse is beautifully incorporated into a giant ficus tree that has a lovely upper deck where you can enjoy the bird song. And there is plenty of bird song! We saw birds in many colours and sizes enjoying the flowers & trees. The landscaping creates a magical pocket of paradise 15 minutes from the city proper. It was a great way to enjoy the culture of Willemstad, local beaches, and the natural beauty of Curacao. For any under the LGBT flag, you have found a welcoming and safe space at Mondi Lodge.

It felt like a perfect little nature oasis of peace, waking up with the mondi sounds isn’t something you automatically get on the island anymore now with the rise of concrete box resorts everywhere.

“Relaxing”

Loved the open kitchen and the garden area where we could bbq and cook outside. Loved to say hello to the donkeys in the morning too. Staff all very very friendly. Breakfasts were delicious! Lots of nature. We saw lots of colourful birds, parrots, lizards, cats and dogs. Pool was lovely and deep (bit of a surprise how deep). But luxurious to soak in after a long day. Bed was very comfortable and spacious.

“Mundi lodge is just a little paradise”

Breakfast was every day very tasty. If it would be too spicy you only needed to communicate that and a little change was made in the kitchen. Perfect. Our little lodge fullfilled all our wishes. Very lovely located between beautiful plants and with 2 little housefriends, small lizards, as a bonus! In the morning we loved to wake up with all the variaty of bird singing. A pool next to the lodge, a lovely veranda with a roof van, lounge chairs to relax. Every now and than an big iguana walked passed our lodge. If you pay attention and sit still for a while you could even spot a little hummingbird. It was like living in a small, green, carribic paradise. We enjoyed ever minute!!!

“Wonderful stay”

We really enjoyed our stay. The bungalows are very comfortable and it's fun to watch the lizards on the patio. There are so many beautiful plants on the whole area as well as a lot of birds and reptiles. We didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. The breakfast was so delicious and it was a pleasure to be greeted every morning by the very friendly Ben. The online guest book was really helpful with all the recommendations.

“The coolest place to stay in Curaçao.”

I have been to over 90 countries and have stayed in countless hotels of all kinds. The Mondi Lodge is amongst the most memorable, special places I have ever had the pleasure to stay in, and I can't recommend it highly enough in every way. The people who own and run it are fantastic, the grounds are full of beautiful plants and animals, it has a cool pool area with a kitchen and a trust fridge full of drinks, you can drink the tap water, the breakfast is really tasty, with a different special every morning, its close to town, but beautifully quiet so you can hear birdsong not diesel engines, and all the rooms are wee separate houses, so no noise from other guests either. I chose the tree house room...the clue is in the name....and yes, its a 2 storey wooden house built round a banyan tree, with an outdoor shower, really comfortable big bed, and just the coolest terrace upstairs, with a fridge and kitchen area, where I actually spent so much time swinging in a hammock, I could hardly be bothered going out to see any of Curaçao's beaches. It is really, really special.

Authentic place in a natural environment. Our stay was Perfect! We loved the breakfast in the morning. Everything is hand made with love. Hospitality was super..and the botanical garden exceptional. We felt welcome and felt the love for the place and for their guest. Super Suggested.
