What an absolutely magical and memorable Mother’s Day weekend we had at the Family Room in Historic Simons Town Boutique Hotel! From the moment we arrived, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Ashley gave us the warmest welcome and made us feel instantly at home. Our entire family stayed over for the weekend, booking both the beautiful family room and an additional room, and every detail exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is absolutely exquisite — full of charm, elegance, and character. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotless, and so thoughtfully prepared. What truly stood out was the incredible level of care and hospitality shown throughout our stay. Even when there was an unexpected water disruption in the area, the staff handled the situation so professionally and went above and beyond to assist and keep guests informed and comfortable. That level of service really says everything about this establishment. The following morning, we enjoyed the most amazing breakfast, which was the perfect ending to such a special family getaway. Every part of our stay felt relaxing, welcoming, and genuinely memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making our Mother’s Day celebration so special. We will most definitely be booking again and have already recommended this gem to family and friends. A true 10/10 experience — highly, highly recommended!

“Disappointing stay due to a misrepresented room and poor handling of our concerns.”

We had a very disappointing experience at The Willets Boutique Hotel. We booked a last-minute, non-refundable stay, fully aware of those conditions. However, the room we were allocated was completely misrepresented. A tiny attic space with no windows, accessed by steep, narrow, uneven stairs that raised clear safety concerns. As I am pregnant, the room was not suitable or safe. These critical details were not clearly disclosed at the time of booking. We raised our concerns immediately upon seeing the room and left without staying. While staff initially indicated a refund might be possible, management later refused any refund, despite the room not being used at all. We were willing to cover reasonable costs such as cleaning fees, however being charged 100% for a room we could not safely stay in feels excessive and unfair. Communication from management was dismissive and unhelpful throughout. We then had to secure and pay for alternative accommodation, effectively paying twice due to misleading information and poor handling of the situation. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Transparency, fairness, and basic customer care were lacking.

My fiancée and I had the pleasure of spending the long weekend at Willets Hotel, and it was an experience that truly exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, there was a sense of calm and understated charm that set the tone for the entire stay. The hotel strikes a beautiful balance between elegance and comfort, with thoughtfully designed spaces, immaculate rooms, and an atmosphere that feels both refined and welcoming. What stood out most was the attention to detail. Every touch, from the quality of the linens to the considered decor, felt intentional without being overbearing. It is clear that a lot of care has gone into creating an environment where guests can genuinely unwind. The location is another highlight. Nestled in Simon’s Town, the hotel offers easy access to the coastline while still feeling tucked away enough to be peaceful. Waking up to the fresh sea air and slow pace of the area was a real luxury. Service throughout our stay was warm, attentive, and genuine, never intrusive but always present when needed. It made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. All in all, it was a memorable weekend away and exactly what we needed. We left feeling rested, reset, and already thinking about when we might return.

It was beautifully decorated, great location - a walking distance from the harbour and restaurants. The Shed, the restaurant downstairs where we ate our complimentary breakfast made delicious food and drinks.

The location is perfect. They do make an effort and the staff are friendly.

Great location, great staff. BUT the Bathroom in our room was the best. Bath within the shower area and 2 shower heads was perfect for the 2 of us. We will be back soon
