Clean room with a nice kitchen nook and the bathroom has space to put down toiletry bags. There were nice touches like milk, coffee and biscuits which you don't often get at other establishments.

A very clean, spacious and comfortable apartment with a lot of little extras (coffee, tea, cookies, shower products). Bev, your host, is always willing to help. We had a very good time in the Porcupine Walk. We had to be a little patient to see the porcupine, though. It only made its appearance after midnight :-)

Ideal stay for us. Perfect safe location and warm friendly hosts. 5 mins across the road and you’re on Windmill beach which is fabulous for swimming and snorkelling. Safe walk along penguin boardwalk into town. Beautiful area. Bev so helpful with directions from airport and keen to help if needed. Secure onsite parking. And porcupines!

Very friendly & helpful hosts. Great location for walks to Boulders Beach & drives to the Cape of Good Hope. Plus, the nightly visits of the porcupines did not disappoint.

“Simonstad, we saw penguins on the beach very close”

Walking distance to the beach. Simonstad is a very quiet suburb. Our stay was 3 days, just too short to experience everything there is to do. We had breakfast at the local golf club, excellent and value for money, people were very friendly. The owner who stayed on the property was putting out food so we could see the porcupine, and we were in luck, we saw one, huge I must say. And we also saw the penguins it was lovely to see them so close. We will go back to Simonstad and make time to visit the Fleet Museum. The nature reserve takes a whole day not something one can do in an hour or two, that was also amazing. The hosts who stayed on the premises were very friendly and helpful at all times.

“Fantastic find in Simonstown”

The apartment is near our favourite part of Simonstown and very clean. The owners are very friendly and there were little extras like milk, coffee and tea and cookies. The shower had shower gel and shampoo. There is a beautiful sea view from the veranda. The visiting porcupines are a special experience.

The hosts welcomed us warmly and were very kind and considerate. They allowed the secretive nightly visits of a wild porcupine which was a thrill.

“Perfect stay close to Boulder beach ❤️”

Everything was perfect!!! Bev is such a lovely lady and she and her family made us feel at home the whole time. The studio is very clean, beautiful, spacious, safe and comfortable. It is quiet and just a short walk away from Boulder beach and a 20 min walk to Simons town. As we work during the week, the wifi is quite important for us and it works perfectly, even when there is loadshedding, it continues to work. We could see the porcupine very often in our terrace, and it is such a unique experience. There is also golf club next door with a nice restaurant. We loved our stay here and we cannot recommend it enough!! We hope to come back soon 🙏❤️

Bev and her family were absolutely fantastic! It was my first time in Cape Town and I was faced with a few challenges but Bev really helped out - and was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever possible. They made my stay comfortable, and always checked in to see if everything was running smoothly. The malls are close by and there are quite a few restaurants in close proximity to the residence. The porcupines are frequent visitors, and they're absolutely fascinating to watch! WiFi was a huge plus since reception is not the best in the town (with my cell provider atleast). Safe area with a nice little view of the ocean.

Despite us being very late Beverley met us and personally gave us the keys and made sure we are settled. and comfortable. The property is small but clean, private and very cosy, with great view from the balcony and even some amazing guests ( i.e. the porcupines) . The walk to the beach or the Simonstown Country club (for a nice breakfast) is literally a breeze. The hosts were great too. THANK YOU Beverley and Chris!

“Perfectly adequate apartment for a couple.”

The property was compact but perfectly adequate for our needs. We were out a lot so this was our base for sleeping and as it turned out was very close to friends we were visiting.

One of the best 2 places in our 3 weeks S.A. roadtrip ! These guys are so welcoming and overwhelming. We had a lot of good discussions and got so much informations about the area ! The place is a bit outside of Simon's town but only 10-15 minutes walking distance away from the boulders beach penguin place. Very safe if you travel by rental car as well ! They feed the porcupines by dusk in front of your huge windows, so that you have a 99 % chance to see them close 2 your nose. They only have 1 appartment to rent, so if you got the chance : book it !
