Sheena and Roly from Cottons Cottages provided all the extras. Many basic household consumables were already provided e.g. milk, eggs, dishwashing liquid, salt, pepper etc. There were already beach umbrellas, hats, books on the area, maps, binoculars, coolboxes etc. etc. - all items which cannot be transported per aircraft with limited luggage. Providing all the extras was really going the extra mile. Cottons Cottages is well located and in a safe area. You see and hear the waves on the beach and spectacular views of False Bay and the Simon's Town harbour. Braai facilities was excellent. With full kitchen, two large bedrooms, living room and two bathrooms there is ample space. The stoep area is a beautiful calm place to relax. Simon's Town is well located to Kalk Bay, Cape Point and Cape Town. We will visit again!

“Just the perfect place for a family stay on the Cape!”
This cottage is, quite simply a little gem of a place to stay. Superb views over the sea, lovely ambience inside the cottage, that is fully equipped for all eventualities. What is more, the host, Sheena, could not have been more welcoming and helpful to us when we arrived. Supermarket is conveniently located nearby, and it's only a half hour walk to get to the penguins at Boulders Beach. After a day of sightseeing, sitting the fire was a real treat, as we stayed in August, in what turned out to be a rather cold spell. It was certainly a change after our time camping in the bush! We all loved it and if we come back to Simon's Town, we'll certainly be looking to stay there again.
