“An amazing place for nature lovers and food enthusiasts”
La Belle Tortue is a beautifully maintained hotel with a perfect location for both a beach holiday and a nature getaway. The food is excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive. Our room was cozy and spotlessly clean, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. The island offers wonderful opportunities for long walks along the beach as well as scenic nature trails. Make sure to bring your hiking shoes!

The room was very spacious, with plenty of storage and a beautiful view of the sea. We especially appreciated the welcome chocolates, which were delicious, as well as the good selection in the minibar. The Wi-Fi connection in the room worked very well, and the à la carte breakfast was tasty with a great variety to choose from. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Beautiful beaches are located nearby, and snorkeling is possible directly from the shore (water shoes are recommended as it can be rocky). Bottled water was provided daily, and it is possible to rent snorkeling equipment, although we brought our own. The airport pick-up service, available for an extra fee, worked perfectly. The island itself is incredibly exciting and unspoiled, offering many great hikes and opportunities to enjoy nature

La Belle Tortue is truly one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever visited. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed—thanks to the incredibly friendly team, who seemed to anticipate our every need. The hotel itself—with its rooms, restaurant, and garden—is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with attention to every detail. The absolute highlight, however, comes when you sit down at the restaurant. Whether it’s breakfast, cocktails, snacks, lunch, ice cream, or tea time with delicate French pastries, or the exquisite four-course dinner included with half-board, the food is consistently exceptional. The location couldn’t be better: the hotel sits on what we believe is the most stunning beach that can easily be accessed without hiking or a boat, and just a short distance from the village of La Passe and the local museum. A huge thank you to the housekeeping staff, the two waiters, the gardener and caretaker, the chefs, and the management for making our stay truly unforgettable!

“An extraordinary experience at a truly special hotel.”
An extraordinary experience - thanks to Benjamin and his team. From being met at the quayside on arrival to being waved off at the end of the stay they couldn't have done more to make the stay enjoyable. Would recommend the veranda rooms that are just a few steps away from an idyllic beach with snorkelling a short swim away. We borrowed bikes to tour the Island and did some of the walking routes from the hotel. We would recommend visiting the Island Conservation Society office - incredibly helpful and interesting. The evening meal every day was top quality French cuisine based on the catch of the day. All in all one of our most memorable stays at a hotel.
