Overview
Built in 1909, the charming Sigtuna Stads Hotell lies along the banks of Lake Mälaren in the centre of Sweden´s oldest town, Sigtuna, with origins dating back to the middle ages. Situated on picturesque main street Stora Gatan, dotted with small boutiques, cafes and buildings rich in tradition, Sigtuna Stads Hotell successfully combines modern design with historical charm. This small and intimate 5-star hotel is decorated with natural materials such as oak and sandstone from the Öland Island. The elegant furniture and fittings are a mixture of Scandinavian classics and designer touches. The restaurant was awarded the Rising Star award for 2008 by the White Guide and is rated as one of Sweden´s top 20 restaurants. Locally sourced ingredients are used to create genuine Swedish cuisine. The convenient location enables easy and fast access to both Stockholm Arlanda International Airport and Stockholm and Uppsala.

The location was very good in the heart of Sigtuna. The room was very spacious, but unfortunately had only a very small bathroom. There was sufficient parking available, though the parking spaces were a bit small. Dinner at the restaurant was nice.

Charming hotel located very close to the lake, next to the museum and at the end of the main pedestrian street of Sigtuna. Great breakfast. I also recommend having dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. Friendly staff.

“If you have a long layover at Arlanda, I recommend staying here!”
Excellent customer service, went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable! 45 minutes away from Arlanda by bus, the hotel is a quick walk from the bus stop through a scenic town. I am so happy that my flight got delayed and I was able to make this unexpected stop during my trip! Would heartily recommend! The view from the room was particularly gorgeous!
