Helga was incredibly welcoming and she gave us great local tips that made our visit very enjoyable. It’s the most authentic Icelandic experience we’ve had during our ringroad trip. Comfortable beds, nice facilities and beautiful view.

Very cozy and nice. Slept like a baby throughout the night in the cabin and really enjoyed my stay. I went down to the bakery and bought a snúður which I enjoyed with by the open window and it was a really great, almost nostalgic feeling to sit there and look at Siglufjörður. The owners were so warm and welcoming too. If there was an issue, they'd reply fast and they were super understanding. The owners showed me around and pointed to where everything is. Having my own bathroom and kitchen was a huge part of why I chose to stay at a cabin and it didn't disappoint. The bed was comfortable and there was very little noise so sleeping through the nights was very easy. I also liked that they had a hair dryer and lots of useful stuff in the cabin like scissors and other stuff in case you forgot it at home. Fantastic view of the town too. I didn't get a chance to try the hot tub but I will definitely do that if I stay here again. I had a great stay. Absolutely recommend this place!

“North Iceland stay with great view and facilities in the heart of downtown”

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments which had very comfortable beds, huge bathroom and kitchen, sitting area, dinning space and an awesome view of the church, the waterfront. There is one hotub included. Hosts are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. Highly recommend this place.

The location was great and the facilities were very clean and well organised. We showed up just before 8 pm and only made the booking couple of hours before but our room was ready for us with a beautiful view.

We liked everything: hospitality, location, view, cleanliness and style, how well equipped cabins were! What an amazing town, full of history and good people. Dagur, thank you for running the hot tub for us!! It was such a perfect finish to our long day! So much to see, so little time. I guess we'll have to come again! Helga and Dagur also know everything about skiing, if you are considering coming in the winter. Don't hesitate, you won't regret!!

The location is great, I was given a room in the front which looks to the church and the mountains. I was upgraded to a double room even though I booked a twin, and it was a pleasant surprise🙂 The owners are very welcoming and they gave me tips what to see on the morning I was leaving. The house is spotless clean and tidy, and I liked that there is a proper table in the room to eat, and 2 chairs which is not likely in other guesthouses. There are some dark, thin curtains on the window, but there is also blinds on it, so it's ideal for people who cannot sleep in the light (in the summer months) The bed was comfortable and the linen was so soft, I didn't want to get out of it in the morning🙂 I highly recommend staying here if you are in Siglufjordur.

“Dream cabin”

My favourite stay of our roadtrip. The garden and cottage style decoration of the cabin is just magical! We arrived late and got right into the hottub, outdoors and with great view of the garden. The cabin is a very small space but used wisely, did not feel cramed at any time and it even has all the essentials to cook a quick meal. Highly recommend it for a short stay and for couples. Helen is a lovely host, very charismatic and caring.

“Simply the best!”

The house is B E A U T I F U L!!! Right in the heart of Siglufjördur quite close to an amazing bakery. Helga is so caring and kind, we wish we would’ve spent more time at her home and with her, she has amazing tips and suggestions for your trip and loves to share her knowledge 😍 The room was beyond perfect, comfortable and warm beds with an amazing view… we even saw northern lights from the comfort of our room! We are definitely coming back ✨

The bed was one of the most comfortable of our week. The cabin is cute and very well presented and we enjoyed the outside shower, especially as there was a room with towels and heating and a guitar if you fancy having a strum whilst lounging in your undies. Highly recommend the Herring Museum, it was fabulous and great value for money And the bakery for brekkie
