Great location - so peaceful to wake up to the sounds of nature. Beds were so comfortable and big. Aircon was great. Breakfast was delicious, we didn’t get a chance to eat dinner here but I’m sure it would have been amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at a chalet here. It is an oasis of peace, authenticity and a feeling of home. Pramoth and his family did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They arranged transfers, transportation, excursions, very tasty meals and were very pleasant conversation partners. Pramoth and staff were super welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us with where to go, tuktuk trips to lions rock and organised a great safari in Huruu eco park. Thank you so much Pramoth for a great stay, located a tuktuk ride away from the town in Sigiriya. Location had a small strip of shops/restaurants. Would really recommend coconut shades which was fab Sri Lankan curry! Couldn’t recommend staying here more if you are visiting Sigiriya

“Nice stay with friendly staff”

This was the final stop on our trip, so we arrived from a long trip hungry and were happy to find out we could have lunch on site. The room was clean, peaceful and spacious.

AMAZING place in the middle of the nature. We absolutely loved the calmness, to be surrounded by animals and the privacy of having our own cabana. Pramoth gave us many good recommendations, arranged a tuk tuk very early in the morning and a amazing safari. The staff are very kind and the breakfast is very generous and delicious. I highly recommend this piece of heaven ❤️

“Delightful little place with so much character”

Amazing place run by 2 brothers who were delightful and very helpful. They organised a fantastic boat trip on the little lake by the hotel and we saw so many birds. The bedroom was very large and comfortable with good air conditioning.

“A peaceful Sigiriya base surrounded by wildlife and smiles”

We had a really special stay here at Sungreen Cottage. The location is so peaceful, the room is comfortable, and we had a wonderful time sitting on the balcony watching monkeys, chipmunks, birds and the odd mongoose all around us. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and take great care of their guests, especially when it comes to keeping them safe. When we arrived (after dark), we were hungry and didn't have any cash so needed to find an ATM and go to dinner. When they saw we were leaving to walk into town, they warned us that it is dangerous to go walking at night because of the wild elephants and that a tourist was killed recently for doing just this. They kindly offered to drive us to an ATM and make us a delicious meal so we could do everything we needed to do while staying safe. We are very grateful to them for this and thank them again for an excellent stay
