“Cute stay by the river, excellent breakfast and the friendliest owners”
The owners were so friendly and helpful. It was amazing to sit overlooking the river at breakfast. Close to the Lion Rock - the owners also helped arrange tuk tuk, and taxi service from Negombo. Breakfast was great!

“Wonderful place!”
The hut is very beautiful, the surroundings are stunning and the couple that runs the place is simply wonderful. I would highly recommend this place. There are some good dinner options within walking distance.

“Superb stay, excellent value & location”
Loved it’s location, quiet riverside, a 10 min walk from busier area. Comfy room in the main house. Lovely breakfasts outside by the river Best plus is the owner & his wife, delightful people, friendly, helpful & charge very reasonable rates for an excellent taxi service. He took us to Dambulla & Polonnaruwa, arranged tuk tuk for Sigirya & Pidurangula rocks. Great laundry service too. Owner recommended us to Lady Chef of Sigirya restaurant a 5 min walk away - we ate there each night, superb food & owners, all home cooked local food & great value

Cool location. Sweet and helpful host. Organized us a Tuck-Tuck at 5 o clock and was always there to help. Really cool location in a Tree House and near a river. Had a relaxing stay there! Just be aware that the stairs in the tree house are really steep and pose maybe a challenge for people with mobility challenges. Overall 10/10 stay!

It is difficult to provide an extensive review of Sigiriya Village as we were only there for one night before proceeding to our final destination. This said, we were impressed with our hosts Chaminda and his wife who were kind, friendly and hospitable, especially as our young son unfortunately fell ill prior to our stay. The breakfast included was very tasty.

Overall, it was one of the best places we stayed. What really made it outstanding was our incredibly nice host. They looked after all our needs and even served us one of the best dinners of our entire trip. If you need anything do not hesitate to ask him.
