“Amazing stay at Shen Residence”

A lovely place to stay in Sigiriya. Would really recommend, Hanis and her family were so helpful with organising our travel and activities. The breakfast was amazing too. Top tip: there is a beautiful swimming pool which is part of a hotel around the corner for if it's really hot, and they allow you to pay a small amount (around £3) to use the pool for the day.

“Lovely little stay for a couple of nights”

The room was clean, spacious, quiet etc. and although basic, it had everything you needed for a short stay. The location was great, right opposite a restaurant/bar and a 10 min walk to more options. The owners checked in with us when we were out all day and didn't return until late in the evening which was a nice touch.

Great location, 15 mins tuktuk to Lions Rock. The hosts are super friendly and helpful arranging transport and giving local recommendations. Clean spacious rooms, and great breakfasts. Definitely recommend!

Host was very friendly and helpful. Shen was able to book me onto a local safari trip which I found was great and the timing was flexed around my availability. The coconut pancakes served for breakfast are a great addition

Shen and the family were all so lovely and helped out with anything we needed during our stay. We had a lovely time, the location was great, and the food was delicious at the restaurant! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sigiriya!

An absolutely outstanding stay at Sigiri Shen Residence! Without a doubt one of the best places I’ve stayed during my trip to Sri Lanka. The location is perfect, peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet only minutes away from Lion’s Rock and other main attractions. It’s the ideal balance between convenience and tranquility. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The bed is extremely comfortable, and every little detail is thoughtfully arranged to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed. What truly makes this place special is the staff. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You feel cared for from the moment you arrive. Their warmth and hospitality made my stay even more memorable. The food was delicious and freshly prepared, with generous portions and great flavors. I highly recommend this hotel without hesitation. If I ever return to Sigiriya, this is exactly where I would stay again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The location is amazing, really close to Sigiriya Rock, so you feel surrounded by nature the whole time. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful (booking massage, elephant eco park and transport) and they made everything feel easy and relaxed. The food was super delicious (one of the highlights of our stay), and having bikes to rent was such a nice bonus for exploring the area.

The hosts make great effort to ensure everything is fine. Communication is uncomplicated, Safaris and Taxis are organized for fair prices which is very comfortable. Location of the accomodation is great. Nearby there are shops and a lot of restaurants. Lions Rock and Pidurangala Rock are in walking distance. Our room was quite big and had a beautiful terrace.

“Perfect stay in Sigiriya”

Shen and Hansi are incredible hosts. They ensure that you are as comfortable as possible and you can ask for anything. They can arrange tuktuks and taxis against fair prices. The bikes you can hire are perfect to explore the surroundings of Sigiriya. We did this and saw wild monkeys and a land monitor. The environment has beautiful nature. The location is also nice, in a relatively quiet street but a short ride away from all the restaurants and cafes. The room is simple, comfortable, and clean. We had a beautiful 2 nights here. It feels like a small family since there are only 4 rooms at this property.
