We really enjoyed our 3 nights stay at Sigiri Mango Garden. Ruwan and his family were very welcoming. They helped organise day trips and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The food was lovely and fresh, traditional Sri Lankan dinner and breakfast. The facilities were good - beds were comfortable, spacious, warm showers air con and pool was nice addition. Sat amongst nature it was a beautiful, chilled area and I would highly recommend.

Ruwan and family are very nice , paying attention for your stay to be good . Pool is really an asset as well the garden . Room is very comfortable. Ruwan drove me in tuktuk to polonnawura and within the temples areas and to a really great traditional restaurant. It was a very good experience. I really recommend it.

Ruwan and his family were exceptional hosts. Ruwan, also a driver, was able to get us to and from the places we wanted to go. The food was authentically Sri Lankan plentiful and delicious. The bed was comfy and the pool refreshing. The jungle like setting was peaceful. The bird life fascinating. Can't say enough good things about this choice of accommodation.

Ruwan and his family are wonderful hosts and the food was the best we have enjoyed in Sri Lanka. The sparkling pool was a special treat after a hot day. Magnificent.

Helpful and friendly host with a beautiful family! If you're looking for a peaceful stay in Sigiriya, this is the place. Serenity in the jungle, amazing breakfast each morning and a lovely quiet pool area. Ruwan was so helpful organising tuk tuk transfers and excursions, it made our time in Sigiriya stress free! Ruwan and his family are lovely :)

“Amazing stay amongst nature”

Amazing stay in Sigiriya. Firstly - the location was amazing. Sitting on the porch watching the monkeys, peacocks, and other wildlife play was surreal, and walkable distance from town. Ruwan was an incredible host. So friendly, so generous and so helpful in organising us everything we needed - from tours to taxis to tuktuks. The breakfast every morning was amazing. Such a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast with different dishes each day. The pool was lovely to cool off in the afternoons too. Highly recommend staying here! We stayed 4 nights and will definitely come back if ever in Sigiriya again.

“Jungle vibe stay in Sigiriya”

We stayed there for a few nights and really felt like we were in the jungle—there were lots of wild animals around, including peacocks, monkeys, squirrels, and even elephants passing nearby during the night. The swimming pool was clean and very nice, the host was incredibly friendly, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious.

Ruwan was a great host. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious.

Sleep was extremely comfortable. Waking up to birds, monkeys, and all kinds of wildlife was such a treat. You’re really immersed in nature and jungle surroundings. The host was very helpful and organised a safari for us, and also has a tuk-tuk to drop you to nearby spots. Dinner was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Location, cleanliness and staff

“Great family, location and food!”

Such a lovely family that were so friendly and always offering their help. They have a tuk tuk and took as early one morning to climb lions rock. Breakfast was traditional Sri Lankan food and was delicious. Assisted with organising transport to our next town also. Beautiful location. A little out of the main town but very easy and cheap to get to and from by tuk tuk and walking distance to other local restaurants and supermarkets that are great. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again. Thank you .

The location is excellent. Sigiri Mango Garden is perfectly situated for exploring Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle, with the Sacred City of Polonnaruwa, the cave temples of Dambulla and, of course, Sigirya’s own Lion’s Rock all easily accessible. And because the lodges are situated on the very edge of prime Sri Lankan jungle, we were constantly treated to monkey acrobatics and even the occasional elephantine gate-crasher! No review would be complete however without mentioning Ruwan and his family who were the real stars of the show. Their fantastic home-cooked food and brilliantly organised day trip really made our visit a joy - Thank you!

“Great stay”

Very nice accommodation with a great pool. The hosts were super nice and helpful.

The owner made sure that we arrived safely to the hotel and to the next destination. He was ready to help us with anything. In the morning we had a delicious, local breakfast. It was great yo swim in a pool in this weather.

Very nice and big room clean and comfortable. The new swimming pool is a great addition, surrounded by nature in the middle of the jungle. The owner is also very friendly and helpful. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay!
