“Lovely stay! Can't recommend it more”

Lovely stay at Roo Mansala. The staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and always available whenever we needed anything, from arranging transport to assisting with any requests throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with excellent air conditioning, a great shower, and very comfortable beds. We were also upgraded free of charge to a room with an even nicer view. The common areas are lovely, especially the pool and treehouse (offering beautiful views of Sigiriya Lion Rock). The food was good, and the staff were very accommodating and flexible regarding meals. While the property is a little secluded, that’s part of its charm. It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature, and still very close to both Sigiriya and Pidurangala Rock, with easy transport options around the area.

We had such a lovely stay at Roo Mansala and spent three nights here as part of our honeymoon. The staff really made it special - everyone was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always happy to help arrange tuk-tuks or book trips for us, and because it’s a smaller hotel the service felt much more personal than you get at larger places. The room was fantastic, very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We felt well looked after from the moment we arrived. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

“Intimate luxurious stay and excellent food surrounded by vibrant nature a”

The way the hotel is laid out creates an atmosphere of close, luxurious intimacy, which the staff - in particular Ranjan and Dimuthu, thank you gentlemen! - amplify by their genuine warmth towards each guest. The food from their kitchen is also excellent, especially the delicious breakfasts.

Absolutely everything!! The viewing deck was amazing spent most of our time there listening and watching the amazing wildlife! What a way to start our trip to Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 all the staff were amazing, so accommodating. Restaurant staff both staff made it so personal remembering what we liked, our Punjabi lessons with the younger guy through name that song! was so funny… miss the jokes! Really nice to have staff that really connect with their guests, their saying “you are our house guests” really is meaningful and felt in many ways. So Thank You to everyone in particular your driver Mel who stayed with us throughout our trip. He really took care of us and we felt looked after and safe- like a big brother looking after us, so grateful to him 🙏🏼 we hope to return one day, your hospitality will stay with us forever. “Amazing, Luxurious and homely stay!”

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the whole setting was serene, calm and felt super luxurious. The staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for you, we had an epic dinner which almost felt like having a meal in your own home thanks to the home cooking and homely feel. The setting was very romantic too. The rooms were beautiful and super spacious and the bathroom very clean. Nice hot shower! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for incredible food in an almost homely environment!

It's a lovely getaway location away from the bustle of the city and tucked away in the middle of a forest. It is beautiful!

Of our 3 week trip in Sri Lanka this was our favourite hotel. The staff are amazingly welcoming and friendly, always wanting to hear what you are up to and giving you some advice and recommendations. We stayed for 3 nights, loved every minute of it and would have lovely to stay longer. The food here is lovely and we loved that the breakfast changed daily. Everything was fresh and delicious. The view from the rooms was unbeatable. It was so quiet and tranquil the whole time. Hearing the animals in the morning and watching the sun rise was stunning. The location to the hiking sites is very close. Recommend giving your driver the number they provide before travelling and ask them to contact the hotel before the day of arrival to discuss the road. The road looks narrow and bumpy but was fine. Highly recommend a stay here, it’s a very special stay, you will not regret it.

Helpful staff who really seemed dedicated to the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. Great location with a view of both of the nearby rock, which are just a short hike away. Great food. We enjoyed the catamaran trip on a nearby lake.

We couldn't recommend Roo Mansala more, our stay here was exceptional. We absolutely loved every single second staying here and regret not staying longer! Everything from the food, the staff, the location, the views, the room, the facilities was 10/10 and we felt so welcome and so looked after the entire time. We can't thank the staff at Roo Mansala enough for giving such amazing memories and being such a highlight of our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. We're already talking about returning one day, we loved it so much, a truly 5 star experience.
