Very nice host. Breakfast was nice. Room very basic but clean. She organized tuctucs for us to go to lion rock. They were overpriced if you compare the price to PickMe. We did the safari with her son. That was absolutely amazing and he went out of his way to show us as many elephants as possible and I can definitely recommend the safari.

Very nice host. We had a pleasant stay and it really felt like paradise since the homestay is located in nature. One day we woke up next to monkeys. The host makes amazing breakfast and the best local dinner we had in Sri Lanka. From here you can do amazing trips that the host also organises for a good price.

It was clean, walking distance to the lake and sigriya rock viewpoint and good value for money property. The owner were very friendly.

“Saved by the safari to hurulu eco park”

Negative thoughts might well be based on the weather( it never stopped raining) and our advanced years Hard to tell if the host was truly concerned or just keen to stroke us and leer into our faces. It was most off putting but considered against all other reviews as kindness. Welcome warm drinks in the gloom . Breakfast juice was fantastic. The shower was hot and powerful. The driver and jeep for the safari were brilliant if a little show offy , but maybe all the more fun to pick out huge holes in the track!

We couldn't have gotten any better welcome to the country than this. It was very homely. A beautiful homestay run by a kind soul. She even woke up early with us before we went on hikes to make sure everything was Ok. The room had all the necessities. The breakfast was so good and filling.

Beside the great location (10min walk from lake view point, 15min walk to restaurants), the beautiful garden and setting, the spotless cleanliness, the amazing breakfast. What makes it wonderful, is the kindness, care of the owner and the whole family. You feel like home and part of the family. We had an amazing time at the homestay! Anoma was very welcoming and kind and we felt right at home. The location is beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable and the pineapple juice delicious. They also helped us organise a great trip to Kaudulla Nationalpark, which has been the highlight of our trip so far! Would definitely come back ☺️

I had a fantastic four-day stay at Rock Lake Homestay. The cottage was beautiful, immersed in nature and with a super chilled vibe. The room was spacious, the bed large and comfortable and everything was immaculately clean. Anoma was the most gracious and helpful host: she was always happy to help with organising transport and activities... and she always had a refreshing juice at hand for me to fight the midday heat! I loved her breakfast as it was delicious and always different, so I got to sample a variety of Sri Lankan treats. Guests can also book a fantastic and incredibly plentiful home-cooked dinner. Oh, and twice I saw elephants in her back garden! 100% recommend and 100% I will stay there again if I get the chance to go back to Sigiriya.

Amazing host! Super friendly and really amazing cook. Lots of food for dinners and breakfasts - both were great. Had a lovely stay. The host sorted us for all tuk tuk drives and safari whilst there and booked our taxi to Kandy for us.
