In walking distance for Pidurangala rock, so perfect for a sunrise or sunset hike up there. The family was very friendly and the food was good!

Amazing location and settings. So close to Pidurangala Rock and a short cycle or walk to Sigiriya town centre. The whole family were amazing throughout my stay and really cared about my time and experience there. The food was so tasty. Highly recommend this stay as its super peaceful and beautiful.

It's a beautiful place in the heart of Sigirya, surrounded by greenery. It's just a few minutes' walk from Pidurangala and is very convenient. The room was simple but very clean, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The family who runs this homestay was truly kind and helpful! Thank you so much for everything.

“Fantastic family owned hostel!”

The owner is fantastic! They are such a considerate family that run the hostel. They were so helpful with everything. They helped with our bags after checking in late, gave us juice on arrival, and arranged transport to the rock for an early morning hike. Great generous breakfast that left us full and happy. We were able to keep our bags there until our transport picked us up too. Amazing location, walking distance to the rock, great food options around for lunch and dinner. The nature surrounding was so peaceful too. The facilities were great! Amazing shower and comfy beds with mosquito nets. The best stay! I wish we could've stayed longer it was perfect! 🥰

Where do I begin? If you are reading this STOP LOOKING and BOOK RIGHT NOW!!! This is not just a hostel, it’s a live-changing experience!!! Jerry welcomed me like a long-lost friend and made me feel like royalty of Sigiriya. Jerry talks a lot – I mean A LOT – but everything is pure gold. He knows EVERYTHING and he can organize ANYTHING. Safaris? Done. Lakes? Done. Spiritual awakenings? Probably!

“Great location for side trips”

The owners are uniquely kind people. They make you feel at home and try to help you with everything. The location is great for Piduragala rock (10 min walk) and other attractions. The rooms are basic however well cared for and above all everything very clean.

The location was the reason for choosing it. For me (as a walker) it was a pleasant walk to both Sigiriya and Pidurangala. The breakfast provided was good and great value (as it was included in the price of the room). The staff/family were lovely.

The hostel is run by a lovely family—husband, wife, and their two kids—who live on the property, making the stay feel warm and welcoming. They were super helpful in arranging a tuk-tuk at a fair price, which saved us time and hassle. The location is ideal, just 1 km from Pidurangala and within walking distance to Sigiriya Lion Rock via a scenic jungle path, avoiding the main road. Having a small restaurant on-site is a big plus, especially since there are no eateries nearby in the evening. The community is friendly and looks out for visitors, adding to the experience. Plus, the bus stops right in front of the hostel—super convenient!

“Surrounded by nature and hosted by nice family”

A nice accommodation next to Pidurangala Rock, surrounded by nature, with a restaurant, Wi-Fi, and lovely hosts. There are private huts for couples or families, as well as a shared dormitory. While I did miss having a mosquito net or fan in the rooms, everything else was great. The owners are a friendly, helpful, and easygoing family who make you feel welcome. Although the breakfast wasn’t huge, it was included in the price, so no complaints. I’d recommend this hostel if you’re looking for a peaceful stay near Sigiriya.

The location was great! But what was amazing with our stay was the host! They helped us with transport! Got great breakfast! They had bikes which we could ride to a lake he recommended! Truly amazing!
