Staying at Niyagala was perfect for us - 3 nights away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The lodge is made up of 3 double or triple rooms that means you share the wonderful grounds tucked into the jungle with up to 6 other people. The room is well appointed, with a comfortable bed, AC, fan, bathroom c/w electric shower. Each bungalow has an Out side seating area, with others dotted around the property. You may even be lucky to see land monitors, mongoose and elephants while relaxing. Isuru is a perfect host - helpful with advice and all the contacts required to make your stay special. We were even able to undertake a Sri Lankan cooking course - where Isuru takes you out to the market to buy all the ingredients and provides instructions on Sri Lankan curry.

We can’t thank Isuru enough for making our stay so memorable! From the start, we felt really welcome thanks to Isuru and his cousin, who made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. They were always checking in, to see if we needed anything. The lodges itself are very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxed stay. The breakfast was fantastic, and we really really enjoyed the amazing cooking class and even some extra activities on offer. We loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night.
