Close to restaurants and cafés but still remote and quiet. Just til sound of the wild life. Host was super nice and attentive. Food was amazing and very cheap.

An amazing place.situated in the lush sigiriya countryside the welcome you receive is heartfelt and genuine.Lakshitha and his family make sure you make the best your visit.Close to restaurants I recommend sampling their home cooking .Also he runs his own safaris to Huluru eco park.Definately a highlight of my time I Sri Lanka

We had a wonderful stay. The family is absolutely adorable, always smiling and taking great care of us. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We really loved the terrace, very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, just like the other meals. The host also offers excursions and helps a lot to organize the stay in the best possible way. We highly recommend this place!

Beautiful setting and some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka.

Unfortunately, our experience at this property was very unpleasant. During our stay, cash went missing from our personal belongings, which we only noticed after checking out. When we contacted the property owner, the situation was not resolved — there were repeated delays and promises, but the money was never returned. As a result, we were forced to report the incident to the police and inform Booking.com. What is most concerning is the lack of security and how such a serious issue was handled. Instead of responsibility and a clear solution, we encountered avoidance and poor communication. I would not recommend this property, especially to travelers carrying cash or valuable items. Guest safety should be a priority, and in this case, it was not ensured.

Perfect location, very nice owners and the room is clean and tidy. We really recommend the place, they have also bicycles.

Highly recommended. We felt right at home. The food was excellent (we had dinner both nights of our stay). The breakfast was good and plentiful. The location is off-center but quiet, yet still about 2 km from Sigiriya Rock. The host's information was crucial for the rest of the trip.

“Lovely family, comfortable rooms and fabulous breakfast”

A beautiful property with two rooms attached for guests to stay in. The room was spacious enough for us, with a large bathroom. Towels, hand towel and face cloths were provided as well as some toiletries. We had two different homemade breakfasts both mornings, with varied local dishes served at a time that was suited to us. The family were so friendly and we felt at home staying here!

The property is close by the Sigriya rock. It’s value for money.

The stay was okay, we only stayed for a day. But they stoled us our money, we left our backpacks around 2pm and we payed the taxi driver. After that we took some money with us and leave some on the room. This morning when we left we were counting some money in the car and we realized 100€ were stoled.

Good room. Value for money. The breakfast is exceptional.

Lakshitha’s family home stay was a wonderful base for a few days of slow travel. The room was great, very clean and everything I needed. Beautiful gardens surround the house. The home cooking was stand out!! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the elephants in Kaudulla

Very nice operator of this homestay. Jeep tour to the elephants was very impressive. The elephant families were 5 to 10 meters away from the jeep.... Without being disturbed. He also had a few other good ideas about what to do in the area. Breakfast very good and plenty. Absolute recommendation

We had the best stay, Lakshitha and his family were so warm and welcoming. Lakshitha helped us booking trips and was always able to help with anything. Breakfast was a feast every morning, it was delicious and different every day, we truly had an amazing time here and would definitely come back.
