“Fabulous boutique hotel 10/10!”

Fantastic boutique hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was exceptional and we had a huge pool to share between only four rooms. The breakfast was perfectly good with nice fresh produce. Would definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.

one of the best places we have stayed. it is close to everything you need, walking distance to the Lions Rock. The accommodations are great, beautiful gardens, great pools. room we stayed in was huge and modern. the staff are fantastic! breakfast was yummy, with so much food. wish we stayed longer, would love to come back

“Beautiful stay with beautiful people”

We had a fantastic stay at Il Frangipane and would happily return. We stayed in the Triple Suite, which was incredibly spacious and perfect for a family. The room was modern, beautifully designed, and featured two very comfortable beds, giving us plenty of space to relax after our days exploring Sri Lanka. One of the highlights was the private pool, which is exclusively accessible to the four new rooms. It felt peaceful, secluded, and added a touch of luxury to our stay. What truly made this place special, however, were the people. Raveen, the owner, was genuinely warm and attentive, always checking that everything was perfect and making us feel incredibly welcome. Narlaka and the rest of the team were equally wonderful – friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Their hospitality was exceptional and made us feel more like guests in a family home than customers in a hotel. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully adapted for us. The team kindly prepared modified versions of pancakes and hoppers to suit our preferences. The fresh fruit was excellent, and the smoothies were absolutely lovely – fresh, refreshing, and the perfect way to start the day. I would definitely recommend Il Frangipane to families looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay. This is exactly why we love travelling in Sri Lanka – the genuine warmth and hospitality are second to none. Boutique hotels like this offer such a personal and memorable experience that you simply don’t get in larger resorts. Thank you to Raveen, Narlaka, and the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend Il Frangipane to anyone visiting the area.

“Amazing Staff, Good Food, Great Location”

We loved the staff here they were amazing and nothing was too hard for them. The breakfast was bountiful with fresh fruit, eggs, toast, Sri Lankan dishes and more, the pools were lovely for afternoon swims and the rooms were large. The hotel all is within walking distance to good coffee, good restaurants, etc.

Great location, surroundings were beautiful and leafy, rooms were enormous. Staff were so helpful and always available to answer questions and help with booking any transport or activities. Breakfast was hearty and delicious

“Best stay in Sri Lanka!”

Best accommodation we’ve had here in Sri Lanka!! Not only are the rooms spacious, but the A/C works perfectly, and everything was very clean. We loved the swimming pool, and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had, always fresh and delicious. Last but definitely not least, the people working there made our stay perfect. They gave us great advice on what to do each day, and they were incredibly kind and hospitable!! Special shoutout to Nalaka for taking such great care of us!

Beautiful property. Felt both homely and also like a bit of a treat. Rooms were massive, pool was lovely, good location with walking distance to good restaurants, cafes etc. breakfast was excellent each morning and the staff were very helpful and organised anything we needed with no fuss. Easy to get a tuk tuk to the main Sigiriya attractions (Lion’s rock nice and close).

“Amazing”

After a bad experience at another hotel, we booked a last-minute stay at “Il Frangipane”. This hotel definitely made our stay in Sigiriya worth it. Super welcoming and helpful staff, two amazing swimming pools, spacious and clean rooms, great breakfast and a good location. This was our last location in Sri Lanka, a great conclusion of our trip! Wish we could stay longer.

The hotel, gardens and pool are lovely, staff friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Very good and plentiful breakfast, pool towels provided. Location pretty good with selection of restaurants literally next door all reasonable and serving good food.

The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and amazing shower. The staff were so kind and caring. The property is so well looked after and so clean. The breakfast was delicious and they were really flexible with times to accommodate things like early starts and transfers. Just a really lovely place to stay.

“Fantastic stay in amazing surroundings.”

The location of the property is perfect for visiting Lion Rock and Pidurangala. The village itself is spread out but there are good restaurants within walking distance. Our room was really clean and spacious. The pools were great and very welcome given the high temperatures. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was great. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

“Exceptional”

We loved Il Frangipane. Lovely comfortable rooms especially the double balcony room overlooking the pool. The pool and garden area is lush with gorgeous planting. This was our first stop in Sri Lanka and the welcome, hospitality and help from Nalaka and the team made us fall in love with Sri Lanka immediately. The hotel is located off the main road , it’s nice and quiet yet a few mins walk to great restaurants and cafes. The breakfast here was one of the best we had. Delicious. The hotel helped us arrange transport for our sightseeing and gave us good tips. Sigirya is lovely. Thank you.
