The garden and mostly the terrace were amazing! But the best thing was the gorgeous breakfast in this terrace!! A real experience to try. Shan and his uncle were great hosts, and try to make you feel the best!! Highly recommended!

The Host was great, he told me a lot about the nature and animals in Sri Lanka. Got some nice juices from their garden. The rooftop is also a very relaxing place. The rooms were clean and big. It is really worth it!

“Great stay”

The room itself was very big, spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and had hot water. The area around was very green and pretty. The caretakers were very kind and helpful with all our queries. The location was pretty good. It is about a 15-20 min walk to the Lion's rock and has loads of restaurants and cafes around. The breakfast on the rooftop was also very nice, homely and tasty.

Hands down the best service we received in Sri Lanka during our 3 week travels around the country. The team at Hotel Bird Paradise go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable! They serve the most beautiful breakfast overlooking the lovely local scenery where you can spend hours bird watching. I definitely recommend staying here!!

“Green, quiet and relaxing place to stay”

The owner is lovely and gives you lots of good tips on the whole of Sri Lanka because be was also a tour guide. The rooftop to eat breakfast is very relaxing with beautiful views and the garden out the front is very well kept. The breakfast is big and delicious.

Very clean and nice rooms. A little bit away from the Main Street in sigiriya, which makes it calm and quiet. The host is great and has a lot of recommendation, even outside of sigiriya.

Ramesh is an incredibly kind and conscientious host. He was always available to help us make activity and transportation arrangements and did absolutely everything in his power to fix any issue we had and make our stay wonderful. The property is beautiful, easy walking distance from so many restaurants. And the rooms were large and very comfortable. The free breakfast was also terrific! I would stay here again for sure!

“Amazing host”

Rumesh was such a kind host. He took us on a bicycle tour to explore the area and see some wildlife and gave us so many valuable tips what to visit. He always carried a big smile and is really passionate about wildlife and enabling his guests a great time. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bird Paradise.

Absolutely the most amazing place to get to in Sigiriya!! So welcoming, clean and comfortable. The place is so special, close to all attractions like Lion Rock and Pidurangala and surrounded by wild nature, birds and animals that always surprise you. Breakfast is so rich and the location is just like it’s name - paradise! Rumesh and the staff were so kind and helpful, always with smile and a true wish to give his guests the best experience! Absolutely amazing! Big clean White room with aircondition. The most lovely roof terrace with a view. Went to the Sigriya rock early in the morning and came home to Rumisz who served organic fruits, sri lankaen coffee, Bread and tasteful coconutpancakes😍 Rumisz told about sri lankaen culture, the system and about How the House we stayed in was build along the side of an ancient elefant walk, which lead to the Wild elefants toke ran over a gate to the House as it was blocking for their path. Rumisz is very experienced and knowledgable about birds and you can go Bird watchibg with him.

“Feels like paradise with perfect host for everything you can think of - you name it they organize it”

This was one of the best locations on our trip. We got perfect tips and the even organized transportation to just about everywhere we wanted to got - even at 5 a.m. in the morning. They went far beyond giving us even a lift by themselves. They got us an extremely good deal for a safari - that started with one day notice. The best part however was, that they were able to organize train tickets - for the famous Newari-Ellia to Ella part. Without their help we would have missed that higlight. THANKS A LOT AGAIN!!! Oh, an the location itself is just beautiful. You do not expect that when you walk up the raw concrete stairs, but the view and the feeling for breakfast is just breathtaking.

“Welcoming, lovely stay”

All members of staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The owner in particular was very considerate and helped us with everything we needed - including booking TukTuks, and giving us some snacks to have before an early start. Breakfast - large and delicious. Room was large and clean. Location - easy walk into the village, and walking distance to Lion Rock (though you can take a TukTuk)

Our best guest house in Sri Lanka. Very welcoming and smiling hosts. The room was really nice for the price. Breakfast was pretty good (especially the sri lankan one and their pancake), and a very nice kotthu for the evening ! Highly recommend them !!

“A hidden gem found by accident when another hostel didn’t work out”

It’s small so not too many people staying there. Very peaceful, clean and amazing staff! Only a 10 min walk to one part of town and 20 to the other.

“Good stay in Sigiriya”

We enjoyed the location of the hotel. It is not far from the road with restaurants and shops but still is very quiet at night. The breakfast was the most traditional we had have in our trip. The owner gladly is explaining you about the meals he is serving and not only about this. If you start your trip from Sigiriya, I can recommend you to ask the owner about some trips he can arrange. The access road is very easy and the hotel have the possibility to park 3-4 cars.
